Clarence was friendly, professional and made sure we felt self and comfortable on the bikes. Really enjoyed that the tour took us off the beaten track into areas we normally wouldn't have ventured into. Highly recommend.

We experienced back roads and alleys, cobblestone massage, crossed a river and suspension bridge in the hills, checked out some Mexican public art ie graffiti and downed some of the best el pastor tacos ever. What a great experience with Puerto Vallarta Cycling! Despite being booked solid, and a very short notice from me (last minute vacation booking), Clarence was able to tug me on to a couple of rides with cyclists of similar abilities. First ride was to La Estancia - if you want to go the distance and climb, climb, and climb, I highly recommend it. Fantastic! And very little traffic once we left the town. The second ride was from Nuevo Vallarta to Punta de Mita - an easier ride, but also highly enjoyable. If you're feeling strong, Clarence will let you loose on hills so you can challenge yourself while he's staying with the (a bit) slower cyclist. You get picked up from your resort, taken in comfort to the starting point, get fitted to the bike quickly, and are ready for fun! You don't have to worry about anything. Everything you need is provided. You even get a helmet (if you chose not to bring yours on vacation) and two bottles of water (refills along the way). In addition, Clarence is a very nice guy! You don't get the feeling you're riding with someone who is only there because he must. He's a true professional, very well prepared. He brings the tools and spares - no worries. He'll point out all the potholes and hazards on the road. After the ride, he'll feed you some good Mexican food! You let him take care of all the details... You just enjoy.

This was a highlight of our trip, we have been to Puerta Vallarta many times. We saw so many different parts and Clarence is a great guide who loves where he lives and what he does and it shows. He gave us some great local tips and restaurant recommendations. He is very open to customizing tours. Highly recommend

I was in Puerto Vallarta for vacation and wanted to get in some road riding in the area. Clarence from Puerto Vallarta Cycling gave me some great recommendations where to ride. As part of the rental, he even dropped off the bike to me at the hotel. I did a great ride to El Tuito and back on the Carretera federal 200 hwy. I really enjoyed the riding in the area.

Many times in PV, this was my first tour of the area on a bike. Clarence took my son and I on a personalized tour -- or so he made the experience feel. Everything from the booking & bike set up through to completion was first class. Quality and clean bikes & equipment and a breadth of scenery & terrain all packed in the professional, knowledgeable, friendly and comfortable stewardship of Clarence our guide. My son (17 years old) had a blast and was quick say he wants to do it again "next time". I fully agree. If only I'd known before.

This was an incredible ride with a wonderful tour guide. The climb to Estancia was gorgeous and fun (and a little hard). Clarence is a great ride leader and ride companion. He is willing to go at your pace--slower, faster, in the middle, and has a wealth of knowledge about the area. And--post ride tacos? What more can I say. This was my second tour with Clarence, and I can't wait for the third.

Clarence provides superb service! He delivered a high quality Specialized road bike to my door for the week and addressed a maintenance issue within an hour. Great experience with friendly local network of riders to Las Palmas and the bridge at La Estancia. Clarence is friendly and knowledgeable and provides a much needed service in PV. I've done several rides with Clarence over the last 4 years. No trip to PV is complete with out least one! His bikes are high quality, and we'll maintained. And it's nice to have a fellow Canadian leading the ride!

Good to be back cycling again in Mexico with Puerto Vallarta cycling! I rode my usual rides with Clarence to San Juan, Punta de Mita and Las Palmas. This year I finally conquered the short climb without stops to Las Palmas! Clarence is very patient, encouraging and laid back. It is an experience rather than just a ride as Clarence takes you to some different cafes for coffee and to have a bite to eat.

Clarence is a gem! He is a very strong rider that can cater to all levels. He will also customize the bike rental to a pro's specs. I had him put on a 30 on the back so I could climb to Carmen's Bakery at the top bridge above Las Palmas. I was only in Mexico for 48 hrs for a wedding but Clarence managed to get me the bike and pick it up when I was done to get the ride in before the wedding!! 5 star service!!

Excellent experience! Clarence is an excellent guide and takes care of everything. I cycled with two friends and we all had a great time.

I now always try to choose a hotel in Nuevo Vallarta when travelling to Mexico so that I cam bike with Clarence. From him picking me up at my resort, to his good quality bikes, to how safe he keeps us on the roads, he’s by far the best experience I’ve had while cycling on holidays.
