Overview
Visit the pyramids of Teotihuacan – City of the Gods – on this archeological tour from Mexico City with a specialized guide.
Highlights
  • Beat the midday crowds on an early morning tour of the Teotihuacan Pyramids
  • Travel to the UNESCO-listed site with ease from Mexico City
  • Discover the temples and pyramids in cooler morning temperatures
  • Ascend to the summit of the Moon and Sun temples
  • Visit an obsidian workshop and sample liqueurs made from cacti
What to Expect
The morning trip begins with pickup from one of two central meeting points in Mexico City (your choice upon checkout), then board a bus destined for the Teotihuacan Pyramids. Be one of the first to enter the archaeological site with a private archaeologist who expands on the pre-Mayan history of highlights such as the Temple of Quetzalcoatl and Avenue of the Dead. Ascend to the summit of the Sun Pyramid and Moon Pyramid for panoramic views of the site before returning to the coach to travel to an obsidian workshop, where you can interact with a local family and sample liqueurs made from cacti. Stop for Mexican food (own expense) before returning to the central meeting point in Mexico City.
