Montmorency Falls Bike Tour in Quebec
Ride a bike to Montmorency Falls on a guided, small-group tour. On the way, you’ll explore Quebec City’s Lower Town, the lush Domaine de Maizerets park, and the banks of the St. Lawrence. At the falls, ride a cable car to the top for stunning views. Your guide handles all the details, from bike rental to snacks, for your mostly flat and relaxing 16-mile (25-kilometer) ride.
What to Expect
Meet your guide at a central location in Quebec City’s Lower Town, where you’ll be fitted with a bike and helmet.

Hop on your bike and set out through the northern edge of the city, using a bike-only route across the St. Charles River. You’ll pause at Domaine de Maizerets, a luxurious estate-turned-park that’s been named one of the most beautiful gardens in the province, filled with walking paths and wildlife.

Continue along the Saint Lawrence River bike route, enjoying views across Beauport Bay to the Ile d’Orléans, a historic island borough in the middle of the river.

When you get to Montmorency Falls, drop the bike and hop a cable car to the top of the 276-foot (84-meter) cascade, where you'll be able to see across Quebec. After a return trip to the Old City, your tour concludes at the original departure point.

A Nice Trip

My spouse and I signed up for a bike tour of Montmorency Falls. There were about 12 riders and two helpful guides. The pace was nice, although being the oldest among the riders, we were always lagging behind the others, although no one seemed to...More

Falls worth biking to even with some rain!

Phil guided us to Montmorency Falls and even though we hit rain for a 1/2 hour period, it didn’t bother the spirits of our group of 8 as the skies cleared when we arrived at the Falls. The ride is mostly flat but I was...More

Guy is the go-to Guy

The Falls is quite nice, the snack is pretty substantial, the bikes are very ride-able. The scenery on the ride out is not terribly impressive, which is pretty much the only drawback of the trip. But I guess that's the price you pay to get...More

The trip is 9 miles each way and seats are normal bike seats. I wore bike pants with padding that helped but if you are used to riding a lot, you may not need this. The bikes are well-maintained but the seats do not have... More
