About
Avoid London's heavy traffic and save time and costs. I will collect you by car at Bromley South station, which is less than 20 minutes’ direct train ride from London Victoria, covered by zone 5 Oystercards or Travelcards. Enjoy the scenic English countryside for about 50 minutes before arriving at the first house. - Go off-the-beaten-track. - Step into medieval England within just a few minutes! - Follow the footsteps of medieval knights. - Explore some stunning gardens with English tea! - Family-friendly - Private tour: Only you & your guide. Example: Guest testimonial. - “…I took a second tour with John and we visited Ightham Mote and Penshurst Place. Ightham Mote is a home built in the thirteenth century with a moat, lake, and gardens... Afterwards, we visited Penshurst Place which is a much larger home. It has very extensive and beautiful gardens which were just coming into bloom when I was there. I enjoyed my visit there as well.”

Must do tour!
Aug 2019
This tour was such a fabulous experience! It happened to coincide with my daughters first day of school, and what an amazing way to start the school year off! We visited Hever Castle and Penshurst Place and learned so much about both! John is a wealth of knowledge and information! I would recommend his tours to everyone!

Wonderful tour of Chartwell, home of Winston Churchill.
Sep 2019
We had a great day out of London touring Chartwell with John Coupland. It was an easy train trip to meet John and his auto was quite comfortable. John made the tour and the travel interesting and informative. He was indeed very personable and had thorough knowledge of the history of Chartwell and the Churchill family. I would not hesitate to recommend John and this tour to anyone with an interest in Winston Churchill.
