See the best of Cape Town including a trip to the top of Table Mountain and a minibus tour of the city’s highlights during this half-day tour. Survey the city from Table Mountain, ride the cable car back down (own expense), and then see Cape Town’s main sights from your minibus. See places such as the Diamond Works and the Malay Quarter on Signal Hill.
What to Expect
Meet your minibus outside your Cape Town city center hotel and drive straight to the base of Table Mountain. Ride the cable car (own expense) to the top of the mountain, and then enjoy some free time on the mountain top to take in the views of the city below, of Robben Island in the distance and of the mountains that extend inland.

Descend from Table Mountain via the round-trip ticket you purchased for the cable car, and meet your guide to begin your tour of Cape Town’s highlights. Climb into a comfortable air-conditioned minibus and drive past main sights as well as some less-well-known places in the historic city. Visit the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood on Signal Hill (also called the Malay Quarter) and hear stories about the Cape Malay slaves of the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as their descendants who built this district.

If time permits, pay a visit to the Castle of Good Hope - one of the oldest buildings in the whole country of South Africa - to follow your guide into its dungeons. Visit the Milnerton Lighthouse, the light that brings ships safely into Table Bay, and finish your tour with a stop at Diamond Works to tour the factory and hear about South African jewelry. At the end of the tour, you’ll be transported back to your Cape Town hotel.

Probably not worth it if honest

The tour guide (Super) was very friendly and knowledgable but overall the experience wasn't great. For the price I think the cable car should have been included. And because you have to rush off the the city sights tour I feel there wasn't enough time...More

A waste of time

We had been advised to pre book the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, which we did. Communication from the office is poor and it took several emails to establish our collection point. It was raining heavily so the cable car was cancelled....More
