George Parsons acted as our tour guide at the end of November when my brother and his family were visiting from the USA. George was a wonderful guide, weaving in some lovely history of the university as we punted along in the sunshine and answering my niece's never ending questions about river rats! Thanks George!

Booked online for 3 people on a shared tour. The weather wasn’t very nice and we ended up having the punt to ourselves, friendly staff and Julian, our four guide, was very knowledgeable and interesting. We sat facing him so we’re able to have a nice conversation. We were provided with blankets and covered hot water bottles for our hands - a nice touch. With grey sky and some drizzle the s every wasn’t at its best but it was still very enjoyable and unhurried.

Took the punt as thought it was the 'must do' thing to do in Cambridge, was good and informative although the friendly punter did have gaps in his knowledge.

However the cost is utterly ridiculous at £70 per couple, it is simply not worth half that for barely 45 minutes. A wooden raft can hardly have high running cost so I see this simply as a rip off.

Great punt service with an expectional knowledgeable tour guide. A bit expensive, but in the end this was worth it. Great way to see Cambridge.

First ever trip to Cambridge so of course we had to go punting. Our tour guide Finn was amazing, didn't rush us through anything, was full of interesting information and had a good sense of humour too. Would highly recommend and a great price too.

I booked Scudamore's as part of a company late summer event (Sept 2021). We undertook the 1hr "Treasure Hunt Challenge". Well organised from the booking process through to the event on the day. We were met by an events organiser who explained the Treasure hunt quiz and directed our groups to the punts. The tour guides were excellent- informative but without giving away all the answers to the challenge! At the end the challenge totals were counted and winner announced. I would highly recommend the punt challenge for Corporate parties or social alike.

Fabulous trip with our wonderful punter, Bethany. Great stories as well as expert handling of the punt and avoiding novices. It would be a crime to visit Cambridge and miss out on punt tour. Such a different perspective from walking around the city.

Punting is one of the best things to do in Cambridge - there's nothing like floating down the river enjoying the peace and the beautiful scenery. We live in Cambridge and always self-punt which is fun and not that hard to master. We always choose Scudamore's and trust them but whoever you go with this is unfortunately a very expensive activity - hence the 4 stars. If it were less pricey we'd probably go more often than we currently do (no more than once a year!).
