Great ghostly fun!
Oct 2021
Our team had a fantastic evening with our guide, Tony, who shared with us several ghostly tales of ancient Cambridge scholars and townsfolk. We had a super evening walking the dimly lit streets of Cambridge and the tour was insightful and grim in equal measure - our team had a mixture of emotions ranging from terrified to highly entertained!

Cambridge walking tour
Our guide, Pamela, was so friendly, knowledgable and informative that despite some pretty miserably wet weather my wife and I both absolutely loved the tour. She collected us from our hotel promptly and explained what we would do. We had a reasonable idea about Cambridge and it’s history, or so we thought, but quickly realised that our knowledge really was quite superficial. The first stop on our tour was Emmanuel college and straight away Pamela was enlightening us about the history and origins of the colleges. We saw several colleges on our walking tour including Kings, Trinity, Corpus Christi, Downing, and Gonville & Caius, However Cambridge is not just the University. It has a been a successful trading town since Roman and Viking times and even before and everywhere we went she had illuminating knowledge about its history and evolution as well as the ‘gown and the town’ relationship. Rather than steal her or her colleagues thunder I will let you enjoy the learning experience.

I heartily recommend this as one of the best things you can do when you visit Cambridge.

Total tour time about 90 minutes, but a lifetime of knowledge..

If you only have time to do one thing while you’re in Cambridge, you simply must book a private tour with Tony! He really made the city’s history come alive. If we had more time we’d book another day touring this city with him!

FDantastic guide and tour
Sep 2021
A very informed, engaged and at time humourous walk that went passed the alloted time by more than 30 minutes and it was so good we wanted it to go on and on and on. Tony, our guide, was not only well informed but he oozed historical knowledge...better than an encyclopedia or even 'google'!!! We doubt anyone would have been any better...thank you Tony.

Tour of Cambridge today
Sep 2021
We did a tour with Pamela Rule-McCarthy today. We have lived in Suffolk for donkey's years, and know Cambridge pretty well. In the 1.5 hours we were being guided by Pamela, we learnt a whole lot more we did not previously know. It was excellent, and now - hours later - we are still talking about it and trying to recite everything we learned.
Thoroughly recommend the tour.

An informative and fun tour
Sep 2021
Chris was an excellent tour guide. His enthusiasm and clarity of delivery made this a very enjoyable excursion. The pace and content were ideally matched to us and the other attendees. He was happy to listen to our input and answered our questions by developing a real rapport with us and the rest of the group. His sense of fun was an added bonus and we look forward to joining another tour in the not too distant future. Highly recommended. Glynn and Anne
