About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- jomS3722XA0 contributionsFun and interesting intro to some of Falmouths horrible historyLoads of fun, light, entertaining and informative. Great introduction to Falmouth- appropriately atmospheric music while you walk. Definitely recommend 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼Written 8 November 2024
- Delwen0 contributionsGhostly FalmouthWe live not too far away and go to Falmouth often - but know so much more now. Really entertaining hour , informative and funny , not scary but thought provoking .Also recommend the Falmouth History walking tour which was also excellent .Off the wall music is a bonus . Thoroughly enjoyable experienceWritten 6 November 2024
- katiedF5106QT0 contributionsGhoulish half term treatBrilliantly fun way to get under the skin of Falmouth’s history and culture. This hour-long wander though Falmouth’s main drag was our introduction to the town and gave us the appetite to return and stay a little longer next time. Our host was appropriately dressed and entertained us with some fun ghost stories and the accordion. I’d have liked to have explored more of the back alleys for more atmosphere- perhaps the group being 40 strong detracted a little from the storytelling- certainly he explained we’d have to miss a stop. Which of course left us wondering what we’d missed?!Written 31 October 2024
- K7001JBlaurak0 contributionsDefinitely give it a go!The tour was so good. Was really interesting not only listening to the ghost stories but the history of Falmouth as well. The guy doing the tour was so good, upbeat and just what you’d expect from a tour operator. Would highly recommend doing this.Written 26 October 2024
- dordognemark0 contributionsGreat Fun, very entertaining! We had a great time on the tour, Will is very entertaining, and it was fun learning a few facts about Falmouth and it’s spooky past! Will kept everyone captivated throughout the hour long tour, and played the euphonium so well! We felt like we were being led by the Pied Piper through the alleyways and streets! A must do, bit of fun!Written 10 August 2024
- Simon C0 contributionsFabulous eveningWe travelled down from hull today and hit a little traffick but will kept us informed where they were so we could catch up. Very good and will really interacts with the crowd and passers by I would highly recommend it to everyoneWritten 31 July 2024
- BigCat1000 contributionsFantasticWill gave a great tour pitched with just the right mix of ghost stories and history. It was well worth the money. We will be doing his day tour next time we visit.Written 27 July 2024
- 183Anastasianw0 contributionsEnjoyable Ghost TourWe went on the Horrors of Falmouth Ghost Tour which was an entertaining activity to do on a Wednesday evening. We really enjoyed the way Will told the stories, including some of the more funny tales of Falmouth's history. Will's playing of the melodeon also added to the memorable experience. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to do the history tour but we will definitely recommend Falmouth Uncovered to anyone visiting!Written 6 July 2024
- embI3883SH0 contributionsFantastically spooky stories of FalmouthExcellent tour about the darker side of Falmouth, with fantastic music and costume to match. Will is a great storyteller, and we will definitely be going on his history tour next time we are around the area. Great way to round off our trip! Many thanks!Written 20 June 2024

- VinceH8970 contributionsDare you take this tour? Beware - ghosts and ghouls abound! We had taken the walking history tour with Will two days prior to this so were looking forward to hearing more about the darker side of Falmouth. It was amazing how Will had aged nearly 400 years in two days. He looked good despite the fact that he'd been dead for four centuries, although slightly pale. Maybe a bit more ghoulash will help get your colour back Will. It was interesting to hear about the shipwreck of the early 1800s as well as the story about the two Dutchmen who were tragically slaughtered in the high street and whose hands can be seen at the window of the property where they died. Will also extended the story he had previously told us about Robert Parker and his 'custom of the sea' dinner party! Adds a whole new meaning to the phrase having friends round for dinner! A great way to end what was a brilliant week in lovely Cornwall for us. It's a good idea to check the website and advertising board at the Prince of Wales pier as details of dates and times are displayed there.Written 16 September 2023
- arero890 contributionsThe harbour spooky history! All!! The pirate kindly delayed the tour for us to catch up as we were running late! We got lost through the country roads and they were ever so kind with us! They were easy to find as not only you can follow the stops as per the itinerary but a dead pirate with an accordion can’t be missed! He has got a beautiful, powerful and clear voice that helps you following those amazing spooky stories! The tour is also full of surprises! A local could not help to step in and bring his awesome anecdote! We’re still unsure if this was just an impromptu or part of the show! Listen out for his sad story and let yourself go loose with all his tour suggestions!Written 25 August 2023

Falmouth Uncovered Walking Tour Review
My wife and I recently joined the Falmouth Uncovered walking tour with Will, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Lasting an hour and a half, the tour took us through the heart of Falmouth, offering a fascinating dive into the rich history of the town. Will, our guide, was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate about Falmouth, which made the tour both engaging and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of the tour was Will’s accordion, which he played as we walked from one historical site to the next. His melodies added a charming and whimsical touch to the experience, making the journey between stops just as entertaining as the storytelling. The music, paired with his sense of humor, created a lively and fun atmosphere throughout.
Will’s enthusiasm for Falmouth’s history was infectious, and his ability to weave humor into his narratives kept us smiling while learning about the town’s fascinating maritime past and hidden gems. The tour was well-paced, and by the end, we had gained a much deeper appreciation for Falmouth’s unique character.
If you’re looking for a fun, informative, and musical exploration of Falmouth’s history, I highly recommend the Falmouth Uncovered tour with Will. It’s a perfect way to spend a couple of hours, guided by someone who clearly loves his town and delights in sharing it with others.

Will gave us a superb 90 minute wander through the streets of Falmouth, telling stories of daring do and skulduggery as well as entertaining us with his harmonium as he guided us on the tour. His research during lockdown was meticulous and his delivery was pitched at the right level for the group - not too intense but not too basic. A great way to spend an hour and a half in a lovely town with an informed guide. We learned so much and would highly recommend the tour. Thanks Will and good luck with your Halloween adventure.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand more about the history and spirit of this important and surprising town. We were lucky to have a brilliantly engaging tour from Bobby, who brought the stones beneath our feet and the water before us to life in a gripping storytelling of a town, its families, its architects and its global maritime significance. You can always tell you have experienced a great tour, when you're sad it's over! We loved it- thank you Bobby - you are a real asset to this place!

This is a wonderful tour. Our guide, Bobby, was very informative. It was obvious that he and his partner had done extensive research on the area and history of Falmouth. We enjoyed walking through the town and hearing various stories about the town. We also enjoyed hearing the other guide play his accordion for his group. We give the tour 5+++++++ stars!

Very interesting and entertaining tour! Will was our tour guide and he speaks clearly and well, plus plays a musical instrument (like a small accordion) as you walk. His stories are generally historical, but he also gives information about the modern town. Thoroughly enjoyable!

We toured Falmouth on the most perfect day. Tour host, Will, made the visit even better. Knowledgeable, friendly, personal, funny, great historian about the city delivered in an entertaining and well documented presentation. Where else does your guide play local folk tune pub music on an Irish "squeeze box," accordion while walking the streets of a quaint seaside town? Treat yourself to a couple hours of a pleasant and insightful walk about the village.

Will's walking tour of Falmouth was very informative and amusing. We were taken around the town, led by Will playing sea shanties on a harmonium.
He brought the history of Falmouth to life with stories of piracy and sea going trade from Tudor to modern times.
The walk took a little over 90 minutes and covered the Falmouth quaysides and upper town from the Killigrew monument to the Prince of Wales Pier.
A walk that will show you Falmouth and it's place in English history. To be highly recommended.

Did the History Tour with Pirate Will this morning. Weather was rubbish, Will’s chat, knowledge and story telling skills made that not matter at all. Highly recommend this tour if you want an entertaining time and the opportunity to find out a bit of Falmouth history. Would love to come back for his ghost tour and the WW2 tour he is developing if the opportunity arises. Don’t miss out, book this!

My husband and took the tour with Will in September and we are so glad we did!! Will has such an enthusiasm for sharing his wealth of information on the history of Falmouth and it certainly rubbed off on us. We left with a sense of awe and understanding of this lovely town. And when we walked by certain landmarks or shops it reminded us of a story he had shared with us. I highly recommend taking this tour and having a blast hearing the stories of Falmouth from Will - you won't regret it!!!

I am bringing a coach party to Falmouth on Saturday 28th, we are staying in Falmouth and passengers have a free day on Saturday. It may be that some of them would like to go on the walking tour, I won't know until I meet the passengers on Thursday. What time is the tour and how can I get in touch with you if any of them decide to participate? what is the cost? my passengers are usually retirement age

When we did the tour on Wed. 11th May it started at 2pm and lasted one and a half hours. We paid £14 each which was the concession price. If you go on the website for Falmouth Attractions it will show you information about the tour and you can pre book any tickets you may need. I think, like us, you must pre book. Hope this helps.
