This was my first time in the UK and the second time for my girlfriend. She had already done this tour in her first trip a few years ago. The tour was fantastic. Every place was beautiful. My personal favorite was the Bath. The tickets into the Bath were not included but it was worth paying the extra 40 pounds (for both of us) to go in and explore. Our overall tour experience was amplified tenfold by our tour guide Peter and our driver Andres aka Pringle. Peter is probably the best tour guide we have ever had. My girlfriend ended up having a lot better experience this time around because of Peter & Andres. Peter is truly knowledgeable and he clearly loves what he does. His kept the excitement & energy level high throughout and that just goes to show his dedication towards this and how much he loves & appreciates his country. We thought Peter was a good person as he ensured at the end of the trip that every person in the bus knows how to get back to their hotels from the drop off location. He was very respectful as well. The weather was pretty bad as it rained all day but Andres drove the bus like a true professional. Not once did we felt his driving was rash or he was trying to make risky moves. Visibility was low but he made sure everyone in the bus was comfortable throughout. We highly recommend taking a rain jacket and/or an umbrella as it can rain anytime and it gets very muddy around Stonehenge.

Overall it was an awesome day! Loved seeing Windsor Castle and walking around inside, then seeing Stonehenge and finally seeing the Roman Baths. But it felt incredibly rushed only being able to send an hour and a half at each place.

Also with the Roman Bath, make sure that you have pre-booked your entry fee as entry is not guaranteed as they are only allowed a minimum amount of people there each day. We only found this out 20mins before entering the town of Bath. But we’re lucky enough that it was a rainy day and we could go in.

Also the tour guide, though at the beginning seemed very nice, he ignored my partner and I, only ever taking to the other passengers and not even smiling at us. This came as a shock as we were always early to each bus departure and were overall really excited for this trip and really felt we didn’t deserve this. And to add to this the tour guide was seen by multiple passengers vaping on the bus.

Overall it was a great experience besides those few things and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see these places in the span of a day!

Dear sneaky, Thank you for leaving us feedback. While we do agree that we would like to give more time to our guests at each location, it is difficult due to the driving hour legislation, however we do have other tours that cover only two venues in a day which allow more time to explore, please visit our website for more information. First of all, know that this is a HIGHLIGHT tour. If you want to take your time and read every sign and listen to all the audio guides, then this tour isn't for you. It's fast with short stops at each location, but you get to see the highlights of each location in a day.

Our first stop was Windsor Castle, which was open on Monday (check the schedule because it's closed Tues-Wed). Tours don't get to skip the line, so you will end up waiting a bit to get in, which cuts into your allotted time. We had about 1.5 hours to walk around on our own and grab a sandwich before hopping back on the bus. You can't take pictures inside the castle, so that helps ensure that lines move, but as I said, you won't have time to wander slowly if you want to see it all. We walked through the cathedral and the state rooms pretty quickly, but at least we saw it.

The next stop is Stonehenge. Luckily, our tour guide (Richard) bypassed the main line and got us on a shuttle bus to the site pretty quickly. We had about an hour to walk around, which was plenty since we were able to skip the line here.

Final stop was Bath. Again, we had 1.5 hours to walk around. We waited as a group to enter but it didn't take very long, then you can wander at your own pace, but you still don't have time to study everything. There was enough time to see the Roman baths, peek inside the abbey, and we even grabbed a snack and a beer before we left.

There are short stops, but you need to be on time!!! We left one couple behind at Windsor that were late, and we also picked up others who got left by their tour buses. It's a tight schedule and they are not messing around when they say that they will leave. At first I found that a bit rude that the guide kept harping on that, but now I see why. If you don't stick to the schedule, you end up waiting in long lines at each site which delays the whole tour.

Skip this travel agency and go with the others as you can because you don't want to experience the horrible way we were treated.
The bus left us only 6 minutes passed the said time, due to our getting lost in the city of Bath. When we reached the bus stop, we saw the bus was moving. But it didn't stop for us. The other tour bus, both the driver and the tour guide witnessed it and just could not understand why it left in such a hurry (and later we saw their bus waited about 14 minutes for their tourists).
The only possible explanation to this irresponsible behavior that they said was the white bus carried us that day does not belong to Evans company, and that must be subcontracted it out. The bus left two tourists from U.S. without any alternative at a place that is over 114 miles away from London, at near dark time. I was totally stressed out and didn't know how to get back by ourselves at late of the day in a strange place.
Luckily we had kind people from Premium Tours took us to their bus back to London (though we had to travel a little further than our bus's last stop in London) so that we didn't have to find a hotel stay in Bath, and then try to find ways back to London (we had a train trip scheduled the next morning at 8 am). We are very appreciative to those two kind people!
After several contacts, at the time returning to London we went to a hotel they set to get my backpack and only found there were still two important items missing. However the company refused to do further search for the missing items or providing any form of compensation.
The worst is that the agency insisted that the bus waited us for 12 minutes vs actual 6 minutes, while we had two witnesses from the other bus seeing them left 6 minutes after 5:30 PM, the gathering time. When a mistake was made, instead of admitting it and taking the responsibility, they simply denied. During the whole communication process, they never displayed even minimum of sympathy for what had happened. Instead, they just blamed customers. As a retired professional, and my husband, an esteemed professor, are in disbelief for this kind of business practice. BTW, the lady on the phone was extremely rude, non-professional and no sympathetic whatsoever.
We regret that we should have chosen the other company that price might be a little higher, but could treat customers in a respectful and decent manner.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you missed our coach in Bath. As I am sure the guide explained to you on the day, the schedule is very tight, so to ensure a smooth running of the tour it is vital that all guests report back to the coach by the given time. Our guides will always do their best to wait for latecomers, but there is only a certain amount of time that they can do this for before it impacts the experience of everyone else that did re-join the tour on time. If you wish to discuss your experience further, please email us with your booking reference at reservations@evanevanstours.co.uk All the best, Evan Evans Team

It was a long day roughly 13 hours from pickup to drop off but it was so worth it. I wish we had a little more time at Windsor palace but understood we had a schedule to adhere to, but at least I got to see the final resting place of Queen Elizabeth. Stonehenge and Bath were great as well. If anyone is on the fence about doing this tour, just do it!! Now let’s talk about our tour guide for the day Richard, he was awesome! He’s full of so much knowledge, very professional and you can tell he is very passionate about his job. Our driver for the day was Barrington and he took us there safely and back, very smooth ride. Overall it was an awesome day, money well spent. Also when booking there are options to include the entry fees to Bath and Windsor Palace….just do it, get the package with everything included because when we got to Windsor palace some people on our bus did not get to come inside beside tickets were sold out for the day. Also check which days they allow people inside Windsor Palace because not everyday the public is allowed and choose you dates around that info if possible. Happy booking! I hope you are able to get Richard as your guide because he’s awesome.

Tour Guide Rowan was fantastic with right amount of information and humor to make the tour enjoyable even with proper British weather (cold, rainy, and windy).
Marion (sp?) the driver made the ride comfortable and smooth and took some detours from all the London construction to save us 15-30 minutes getting home.
Downside was unavoidable as there are more tourists heading to Windsor to see where Queen Elizabeth was buried so we didn’t get to enjoy the sites as the queue to get into Windsor and the shuttle bus at Stonehenge was super long.
We loved each stop and it is a wonderful tour to see Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath all in one day.
Just wished there was more time at each of the stops.

We had a great trip! The bus was easy to find and the directions were perfect. We stayed at the Double Tree behind Victoria Station so the Victoria Coach Station was a quick 7-8 minute walk.

Our guide, Rowan, and our driver were terrific. Rowan was very knowledgeable and her sense of humor made the narrative entertaining and engaging. We weren’t able to see Stonehenge up close because the site closed early without informing the travel company…but the driver drove very slowly so we could get pictures…and Evan Evans went out of their way to make it right. We received an email before we were even back in London stating we would be reimbursed for the trip since we didn’t get to see Stonehenge.

In Bath, we headed straight for the Jane Austin Centre…it’s not much but if you’re an Austin fan it is great! We headed straight there off the bus, did the tour, and made it back to the bus with no time to spare…but it was worth it!

I would recommend picking up a picnic lunch and snacks before you leave London because the stops are quick and if you want to sightsee you won’t have time for food.

We’d definitely take another Evan Evans Tour!

Robert (guide) and Idris (driver) were incredible! They got us everywhere quickly and made sure everything ran smoothly. Robert is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about each site, especially Windsor Castle, where the queue flew by as he told us stories about Henry VIII and other monarchs that were a terrific lead-up to the visit. I am shocked by the reviews saying that tour felt rushed, because my boyfriend and I felt like it was the perfect amount of time in each location to see the highlights, grab a bite, or wander around. Robert and Idris also timed our stops to avoid the rain, which was very appreciated. HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Far too little time at Windsor Castle; longer than necessary at Stonehenge; and it was not made clear that the trip to Bath did not include the Baths! For the overwhelming majority of riders on our bus, no guidance was given on what to see while we waited over 2.5 hours for the guide to take a handful through the Roman Baths. If we had known about the Royal Crescent, the Art Gallery, or the Circus, we could have walked. Beyond that our guide expected a $40 tip per couple. If Evan Evans Tours wants to charge this much for this tour, then, provide better guidance and more appropriate timing.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We often describe this tour as a "taster tour" as due to distances covered and packed itinerary, we can only allow limited time at each destination. We are sorry to hear that you feel it was not clear that the trip to Bath did not include entry to the Roman Baths. When you purchase your package on TripAdvisor, you are given the option to include or exclude certain attractions. With regards to tips, these are at guests' discretion and guides do not expect nor request any specific amount. If you feel that was not the case with you, please do email us more details at reservations@evanevanstours.co.uk so we can investigate it further. Thank you and kind regards, Evan Evans Tours
