Great tour for any HP fan!
From the minute you get out of the bus, you’re stepping into the world of Harry Potter. There is so much to see- from costumes worn by the cast, to sets and props actually used in the movies- it was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back

    Thanks David!
We had an amazing tour with Evans & Evans/Driver: David Garcia while in London on business. Traveling for business you tend to be stuck in a conference room most of the time, so my client and I decided to spend sometime out of London and booked a day tour with Evans and Evans. Planning went well and they communicated often, and clearly up until the day of our trip. We received the name of the driver and his number prior to the day of which I appreiciated. The day of, David ran a few minutes late due to heavy traffic but as coincidence would have it, we were running late as well - so we were synced up. We had a very pleasant ride out to Bath (we almost forgot about the two hour journey as we chatted away - it seemed to go quick!). We felt safe with David, and he prepared us for the day. We adjusted our itnerary a little (we stopped by the Salsbury Cathedral for a quick gander at the Magna Carta). A very special thank you to David for convincing me that Stonehenge was worth the trip, and his flexibility was very much appreciated for the day. On my next trip to London, will definitely be looking for his services again to explore other locations outside of the city. Thanks for taking great care for my client and I while visiting.

Godfrey: The terrible guide! | Godfrey: O guia terrível!
I'll start by saying that my rating reflects my experience with the company Evan Evans Tours, and not with the locations. About the places visited: For Windsor, the time given is not enough to visit the palace. Stonehenge is enough time. I will not evaluate Bath once I have not visited the ruins. About the time spent: If you're planning to do all three attractions (Windsor, Stonehenge, and Bath): prepare to feel hungry! There is not enough time to stop at a restaurant to eat, and food on the bus is not allowed. About the guide: The guide Godfrey was the person who took us on the journey on February 12. Think of a person who is not at all friendly, extremely rude, unfunny and sarcastic. Below are the experiences I had with Godfrey, which were the definitive point for me NOT to recommend Evan Evans Tours to my colleagues: 1: The guide seemed to be prejudiced against Latinos in general. When he spoke English, he used the loudspeakers on the bus; but for announcements in Spanish, he only used headphones. In other words: if you speak English, you don't need to wear headphones, but if you speak Spanish, you must keep them on for the whole journey. What was surprising was that Spanish speakers were in the majority! Of everyone on the bus, only one couple spoke English. So my question is: why are people who only understand Spanish forced to listen to English and be uncomfortable on the journey wearing headphones; and English speakers don't have to wear headphones and cannot hear the Spanish language on the bus loudspeakers either? 2: Exclusivity with Americans from the United States. If you are American, from the United States: look for Godfrey! He'll treat you like a first-class customer! A good example of this is the generous review that user Sandy S gave the guide on Tripadvisor. Godfrey provided exclusive information to the couple, and even allowed them to eat on the bus (unlike other users, who he forced to throw their food in the trash before boarding the bus). However, I confess it was funny! At the end of the trip, the couple didn't give Godfrey a single American dollar as a generous tip! :( 3: Poor communication and severe threats to abandon us if we didn't keep to the schedule. The guide Godfrey threatened several times to abandon us in the towns if we were late. However, he was not helpful enough to explain where the bus would be parked. One example was in Windsor: I had to put myself in danger and run through the streets to find the parking garage because Godfrey hadn't given clear instructions on how to find it. There is also no telephone or help system in case of emergencies, so go prepared to look after yourself, because if your guide is Godfrey, he won't help you! 4: Godfrey is definitely not excited about his job! At the end of the tour, he hid the QR Code from us to prevent us from evaluating his work; and he didn't tell us his name to avoid bad reviews! This shows that he certainly knew about the poor service he provided. Godfrey forgot that we (Latino) tourists are also paying his salary, and we expect to be treated with the respect we give him. He just didn't count on my proactivity in coming here to tell the truth about what he's doing in his job. About the driver: The driver Alex doesn't deserve this review. He drove carefully and got us around safely. And, in certain situations, he was more concerned about helping us than Godfrey was.

    Missed the bus.
I am sure it is a great trip, but cannot rate it because we did not go. In order to submit this review, I will give it 3 stars so as not to tip the scales badly for Viator. Tip for all - leave plenty of extra time to find the bus address, maybe take a cab, as a driver would probably have had the savvy to get us to the right spot. We got there in good time via the Tube, but could not find the address given, and were redirected by station employees a couple times, spending our precious time looking for the bus stop. We missed the bus, and the Viator agreement does not allow for refunds on the day of travel. A lost and costly opportunity, and a stressful moment during our vacation.

I found this tour deeply disappointing. My primary motivation for booking this tour was a chance to view the White Cliffs. The other stops would be bonuses for me. Not only are you not able to go atop the cliffs, you can only view them from the beach at a great distance. I feel the description in the tour itinerary is greatly misleading. In addition whilst the castle and cathedral are interesting, the tours themselves are bland and the cathedral is currently covered in scaffolding both in and outside, so a lot of it’s luster is lacking. I understand the scaffolding/construction on a centuries old building is not the tour company’s fault, but our guide seemed aware of this when we arrived and I feel there is a professional obligation to let the customer know the building is not as pictured on the website. I feel the price of this tour does not reflect the wow factor at all, I regret +++ booking this tour.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a us a review. We greatly appreciate your feedback and take everything on-board. We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with certain aspects of the tour. The visit to Dover is a short photo stop. On regards to the Cathedral being under construction these buildings are hundreds of years old and need to be restored for everyone to enjoy and to be maintained,we understand your frustration, however this is beyond our control. If you find yourself in London again we would like to host you on another Evan Evans tour in the future. Kind regards, Evan Evans Team

My boyfriend and I booked and paid for this tour a few days before it was due to depart. Less than a day later, I received an email from the tour company informing us that the tour was booked out and to contact Viator/Trip Advisor directly to receive a refund. I sent 2 emails requesting the refund, both of which were never replied to. Unfortunately, I stumbled across the online cancellation process a little too late, as you need to do this at least 24 hours in advance. I'm very disappointed in the lack of professionalism in not replying to either of my emails in which I could have been informed of the correct cancellation process a lot earlier to receive a full refund. As a result, I lost at least 200 dollars that I could have spent on another tour or attraction.

First off it is extremely frustrating to find your actual bus for this tour. It is not well marked, there is no obvious check in process, getting in some line that you think may be correct and having some people with arm bands and some without is confusing and there were no tour representatives handing them out, we had to hunt them down. Our tour got rescheduled by the company to a very busy holiday which we were trying to avoid because of the large crowds.
The bus was packed. Which brings me to the bus driver Peter, he was determined to keep the front shades pulled despite being asked on multiple occasions by both the tour guide and the tour paying costumers to raise the shades so we could see the sights. We did pay for a sight seeing tour and our view was blocked the majority of the day. Honestly we should get a discount.
This tour advertised that they go to the White Cliffs of Dover which they do not. They go to the center of Dover proper and way off in the distance are the cliffs. We were highly disappointed.
Our guide was knowledgeable and kind but I would not recommend you take this tour if you are interested in seeing the Cliffs of Dover or seeing the country side as you travel through Great Britain

Dear The M, Thank you for leaving us feedback about the tour. Your detailed review is very important to us as it allows us to improve for future visits. We will definitely address your review with all our staff both the good and bad. We especially appreciate you pointing out about the Cliffs, we will forward this to our management team. Our representatives at the coach station are by Gates 1-5, upon check in the representative will hand you out a coloured wristband and inform you which gate you will be leaving from, please be aware there are different companies boarding by the same gate hence why our staff will inform you to wait for the tour guide to make the announcement by the gate. Again, we do apologise if certain parts of the tour description was not clear. Please do not allow this isolated incident stop you from giving us another chance. We are confident that your next experience will be worthy of a 5-star review. Best wishes Evan Evans Team

Beautiful trip, perfectly timed! Our guide Nicholas was great, I have learned so much and I could listen to him all day it was so interesting. Not only he did a guided tour of the cathedral, Canterbury and about the history of Leeds Castle, but he also explained so much of what we could see from the coach during the trip and also on our way out of London and back in. Nicholas is very knowledgeable and is able to entertain the crowd while informing at the same time. Perfect prosody. Would recommend 100%!

I’m giving this tour 5 stars because Rowan and Ricky (driver) were the ones that made this trip outstanding. Rowan was so enthusiastic and entertaining, giving us all kinds of fun facts along the way and Ricky’s driving was awesome.
Leeds Castle was beautiful and the proper amount of time was given at this location. More time needed in Canterbury. Cathedral was beyond impressive, an architectural wonder, an absolute don’t miss. Would love more time here to check out the shops and not have to rush through lunch.

Tour company executives, Skip the cliffs, they were underwhelming and compared to seeing cliffs of Moher in Ireland, these are covered with greenery and quite small. Nothing to see, definitely not worth the stop. Also give specific, detailed directions to find the bus depot. We spent 40 min looking for it and nearly missed our trip. Also, very confusing check in. Nothing showing where check in person was, no signage, some people were outside with busses, some on side, some at doors, no clear cue lines, nothing showing checkin location. One woman missed the call to board after checking in and had to literally run after the bus on the street. No microphones. No colorful shirts on employees to make them obvious to the customers. More organization is needed at check in and also a new policy is needed to reclaim items left on the coach. Very slow and most of us are on vacation and only here for a few days. We don’t have multiple days to go through the current cumbersome process. If I did not repeatedly call and email, I would not have gotten my property back.

What a fantastic tour! This should be high in your list of tours if you planning on booking one. Our tour guide Kevin was not only extremely knowledgeable but engaging and humorous. He made it a point to speak with each group on the bus to personalize the tour as best as possible. His stoytelling of historical events as we journeyed to our destinations made the trip pass quickly. Our family of five ranges from ages 56-13 and all of us had a fantastic experience. My son who is 13 said it was his favorite day so far. Thank you Evan and Evan's and our guide Kevin. I couldn't recommend them more.

Kevin was a first rate group leader. He balanced the needs of a bilingual tour without either group feeling left out. Leeds Castle was very lovely and we had plenty of time to soak in its unique qualities.
The White Cliffs of Dover were a little more awkward to appreciate since there was no real vantage point to get the full effect. Still the beach and the cliffs play an important part of English history so it was good to have even a brief time there. TIP -sit on the right side of the coach for the best pics of the castle and the cliffs and France if a clear day.
Canterbury and the cathedral are full of history and beautiful artifacts. Kevin kept the narrative going. The time to explore the cathedral and the town was appropriate. I recommend brining a sack lunch to eat on the bus to maximize your sightseeing. Not really a lot of time to have a sit down lunch and take in all there is to see.
Gordon the driver handled the traffic on the way back (we encountered a massive demonstration that snarled traffic).
I would highly recommend this excellent tour and Kevin as your tour leader.

Organized and very pleasant. Just enough time in the locations to get a feel for the place and take plenty of pictures. Kevin, our guide was very knowledgeable, able to keep an eye on all us and make sure we got to where we needed to go. His bi-lingual skills I’m sure made the tour worth it for those in Japanese. He was happy to answer questions and make us feel welcome. If you get him and his driver Volter, you’ll be taken care of!

Leeds was beautiful and not too taxing first thing. I loved seeing the cliffs and shore of Dover and the quick photo opp up the hill at Dover Castle. His knowledge of Canterbury made the tour inside the Cathedral more meaningful. Very patient with a bunch of tourists and thoughtful in answering questions.

A full day tour did allow us to rest in between stops and for the distance and value, I thought the price was good and fair. From what I saw the Evan Evans tours were well organized and good for tourists.

Evan Evans Bus Company was superb in every aspect, kudos. Guide, Shawn and Driver Andy were super helpful and generous. Our tour was on Good Friday so places were busy. Leeds Castle grounds are gorgeous, tranquil, storybook like. Nice 7 minute video before entering is advised for clarification of castle. White Cliffs and the beach were spectacular especially the view of Dover Castle high in the hill.
Unfortunately Canterbury Cathedral was closed and Trip Advisor / Viatours would not credit us the admission amount. We had 2 hours to roam around Canterbury streets which was somewhat interesting but also touristy. The exterior of the cathedral was beautiful, wished we could’ve walked those hallowed halls.

It was a professionally organized, punctual tour, no tome wasted. Our guide Shiela was born lead tours, stunning knowledge about everything came up during the tour. She started the “show” in London, with a lot of stories about the buildings and history. They have a special licence to take us to the inner entrance of the Leeds Castle saving a lot of time (vs those who had to park outside). Perfect day balanced time spent everywhere (could have been more sight of the cliffs though). Absolutely recommended.
