Simply fantastic!
Dec 2019
Our guide for the day was Phil. He was just fantastic. He was chock full of interesting information that made the places we visited even better. He could answer any question you threw at him and he was simply just a super interesting guy to talk to. Our day trip to Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds and Bampton (film location for Downtown Abbey) was more enjoyable than I could have imagined. Blenheim Palace is a must see. The Cotswolds are very charming and quaint. Each village is prettier than the next. Go, go, definitely go!

A splendid day in the countryside
Dec 2019 • Couples
We spent the day with Evan Evans Tours with tour guide Phil. What an amazing wealth of knowledge he shared. Smart, articulate, helpful, friendly and patient. Highly recommend a tour with him. We visited 2 locations in the Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace. Palace would be better on a sunny spring or summer day but we still enjoyed the experience.

Dissatisfied customer
Aug 2019
The sites were well worth seeing, however, there were two very big negatives. First, there is an expensive additional charge at the Blenheim Caste stop if you actually want to ENTER the site. Second, our tour guide was inconsiderate and rather insufferable. His unpleasant and even hectoring attitude after a minor in our party was late back to the bus due to a bathroom trip taking longer than it perhaps should have was a total put-off. My recommendation would be to go ahead and visit these sites, just not with this tour.

Would you be able to send an email to reservations@evanevanstours.co.uk with your booking reference and the date you traveled on and we can investigate this further. We're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the service of the tour guide. This feedback has been passed onto our operations department. This was a very worthwhile trip, and the tour guide, Phil, was extremely well-informed
Nov 2019
Like many Americans, we had watched Downton Abbey, so the stopover at the village where part of it was filmed was fun. Winston Churchill's paintings at Blenheim Palace were worth the price of admission. The tour guide Phil was a font of knowledge, and his rendition of Churchill's wartime speech was spot on. Only miss was that I left my short umbrella above the seat and missed it in Scotland, our next stop.

A fascinating day
Oct 2019
Phil, our Professor Educator and Steve his driver, gave us the gift of a lovely day in the English countryside. To say Phil knows his history is an understatement. He presents a tutorial on the history of the Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace like he had actually lived the history.
We had a lovely day which we will never forget. Thanks for the memories and the education.

Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds tour
Sep 2019 • Friends
My Mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds with Evan Evans tours. Our tour guide was engaging and made the history of the sites we saw come alive. Our driver demonstrated outstanding driving skills and the day was one of the best of our entire holiday. I highly recommend this tour as a memorable experience if you long to see the Cotswolds and the fabulous Blenheim Palace and it’s impressive gardens.

Amazing! There is not three stops!
Oct 2019
Three stars for only giving us 20 minutes in Bampton where the Abbey was filmed. Whad no time to do anything! We stopped in one other town but the tour stated we stopped at three. The palace was beautiful.

Awesome tour!
Sep 2019
I took this tour recently with my sister & brother-in-law courtesy of my son who also joined us. He is temporarily working in London and suggested this tour as part of our itinerary while we were visiting. He had been to the Cotswolds before and knew we would enjoy that part of the journey.. He also knew I was a fan of Downton Abbey and who doesn't like touring palaces! The day flew by as we were thoroughly entertained and informed by our wonderful guide, Sheila. She is a wealth of knowledge and interesting facts and possesses a great sense of humor! I would have liked to have spent a little more time in the charming town of Bourton-on-water, but lunch was our first priority and ate up (no pun intended) most of our time there. Mark was our driver and he's a true champion behind the wheel! All in all this was a great day & I would highly recommend this tour.
