We were a party of four visiting London for a few days before starting our road trip through England. I booked this based on the reviews I read and could not have been happier. I travel all over the world and make a point of doing a walking food tour in each city I go to. This ranks as one of the best I've experienced. Our guide was David and we spent the next few hours with him visiting the food stands of the Borough Market and finishing up at a local restaurant. David has been a chef in the past and was very knowledgeable both with the history of London and this specific area, but also of the foods we were eating. We had a variety of foods as he explained why each food was important. We ate empanadas, fish and chips, cheeses, sausages rolls and various desserts. I'm sure I'm leaving a few things out because by the end of our tour we were completely satisfied and more. David also gave us time to shop in each area and we picked up food items for our picnics on the road. Each food we ate was delicious and everyone had their favorite. Dave also left us with a big bag of brownies which paired well with the bottle of wine later that night. I definitely recommend doing this tour when you're in London and hope you're fortunate enough to have David as your guide!

We did the London Bridge tour with David (Sir David). It was our family of 4 (two 9 year olds) and another couple, so nice small group. I know David does these all the time but that didn't stop him from making us feel special and attended to. The food...I'm back in the US and craving the food! The kids loved every bite as well. We were stuffed at the end.
David did a great job of sharing the history of the market and the current day cooperative nature of the vendors. My kids were able to articulate why we bought cheeses that were aged with alcohol (history lesson about WW2). That's impressive!
We had a delightful time. My husband said before the tour 'How can this last 3 hours?' and wasn't ready to be done after almost 4 hours.
Thank you Sir David!

Gary was an excellent and fun guide for this tour. He gave information about the history of the city as well as the food and he made it entertaining too. You get a good sampling of different foods, bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches, fish and chips (which were definitely the highlight of the tour and the best I’ve ever had), sausage rolls and meade. The Borough Market was amazing. Very fun! We had a lovely tea at the Boot and Flogger. The sticky toffee pudding was good, but the cheese was not great. Thank you Gary for a great day!

Tour Details:
Our public small group guide, Billie, had great information to share throughout the tour. You can tell she had passion to speak about the history and area of places we were having our food sampling. We had some free time browsing through the Borough Market as well.
The following were the food / beverages we were given:
1. Dosa Chaat piece (Rating 8/10)
2. Fish & Chips (Rating 10/10)
3. 1/3 of a Sausage roll (Rating 6/10)
4. Traditional Mead shot (Rating 8/10)
5. Cheese plate (dessert) (Rating 6/10)
6. Wild Elderflower Bubbly (Rating 10/10)
7. Alcoholic cider (Rating 5/10)
8. English breakfast tea (Rating 7/10)
9. Small sized Sticky Toffee Pudding (Rating 8/10)
All of the above , calculates to about 41.38 pounds per person (when using menu pricing). So the tour pricing is about 30% higher than it should be. Other than that the tour was enjoyable.

Our guide, Charlie, met us at London Bridge and the tour concentrated upon the food outlets in and around Borough Market. Charlie tailored the content of the tour to our particular tastes as neither of us eat fish.
There were five formal food tastings: 1) bacon and egg breakfast roll, 2) Swiss tartiflette, 3) sausage roll, 4) cheese, washed down with cider, and 5) carrot cake. Each was delicious and, although it’s impossible to pick a favourite, the bacon and egg roll and the sausage roll were the stars of the show for me.
Between the five food tastings, there was also time to explore parts of the market on our own and taste even more of the delicious items of food and drink on offer.
Charlie was an excellent host who knew about the history of the local area and about the various foods we wear sampling. He was witty, polite and entertaining. Thank you, Charlie, for an excellent three hours.
I highly recommend this tour

Instead of wandering aimlessly around this huge market with little background knowledge and not knowing where to begin, David set the tone right from the start. The tour was informative, fun, relaxed and delicious! It is very apparent that this tour is a labor of love. The food and drink selections were thoughtfully chosen, utterly delicious and really captured the flare of Borough Market! Everything was explained in detail every step of the way. Even my 13 year old walked away saying that it was the best food tour EVER! Thank you, David!!! We will most certainly be back!

Our guide Melissa definitely made our tour that extra bit special- She was so attentive, enthusiastic, energetic and most importantly so knowledgeable- we could not fault her and if we were to recommend the tour to anyone we would say request to have Melissa as your tour guide.
The food was amazing and Melissa talked us through each place with great confidence, giving us that extra bit of history. Standouts for us were the Vanilla doughnut, Sticky toffee pudding, and of course Fish and Chips.
We had such a great day out, would recommend to anyone looking for a fun foodie day out!

The guide was good and very knowledgable but the food options were very limited for the high price I paid for this tour. I've done food tours across europe and paid 1/4 the price for double the food options and tasting opportunities. Little disappointed for value for money but great service and guide

Hi Adir B, thanks for your feedback regarding your recent experience on our award-winning London Bridge/Borough Market Food Tour. We take all our feedback extremely seriously as we strive to deliver the best Food & Beverage Tours globally. Let me start by saying that is great to hear that you enjoyed the guide and to hear that he/she was knowledgeable. As a global organisation, we strive to keep our local tours authentic by hiring unique local personalities with a love for their city and its food so that guests can experience part of the food culture there as if they were being shown around by a familiar friend.
In our tour, we don’t offer many different options as the tour is a curated menu where we select the best options from the market for our guests to try. It is usually a success, and we have ravishing reviews, so we are sad to hear that you didn't consider a 5-star tour. Once again your feedback is always appreciated as we strive to give people the best tours possible. We're hoping you give us another chance on our other tours around the world.

Awesome way to be introduced to London food, culture, and history! After we landed at Heathrow at 6:30 AM, we dropped our bags off at the hotel, took a quick ride on the Tube, and met Ivo for our 10:30 AM tour. Could not have begun with a better breakfast, starting with the bacon & egg BAP, Ivo made us feel at ease with our asking any question and always make sure we had the best experience in and thorough knowledge about each eating location. Sausage rolls, cheese platter, cider, fish and chips, sticky toffee pudding… Everything was made from the best quality ingredients, covering both breakfast and lunchtime. Will definitely try another tour next time in London!

We all loved this tour. Food and history, nothing better than that. Our guide was Billie and she was fabulous. Very entertaining and a wealth of knowledge. We had a very diverse group age wise from children to seniors and she kept us all engaged.

Rita B

I think the tour we did would be difficult for someone in a wheelchair but check with the organisers. I’m sure they have alternative arrangements they can make.
There is no departure time, what time does it start?
Rita B

I think there are a couple of departure times. Ours kicked off at 11. I think there was another one at 3.
When you book you will see the departure time

How many drinks do you get when you do the drink add-on? it looked like it may only be two, and that one is a port wine. Is that correct?

we are not drinkers so we did not add this option. I beleive one was a port and there was at least one, maybe two additional drinks, all at the same place.

We are considering booking this tour. Would you recommend getting the drink package or no? Just wondering if it's worth the extra charge. Thanks!
