Thank you to Ruby for taking us on our trip over the O2 today. She made the experience an absolute joy, a great combination of humour, knowledge and being very helpful.
Our son was slightly nervous on the way down but she was great talking to him about Harry Potter to distract him
Though the trip is not cheap as a family (kids, 11 and 13) we had a great time and would recommend it.

An amazing experience! The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. As recommended arriving 15 minutes before your actual time climb, is really important and enabled the experience to be smooth. The entire experience is over in around 90 minutes, the perfect amount of time, as it’s not rushed but also not too slow.
Our instructor was Devon and he was incredibly informative and prepared us excellently for the climb. Throughout the climb he ensured the whole group were kept together at a good pace and provided the group with different ways to climb down if you’re a bit worried about heights which was taken up by many on the climb. He he was an excellent instructor! Once at the top, the views were simply breathtaking! An amazing 360 view of the entire city that cannot be beaten. When at the top you have around 15 minutes and can take as many shots on your phone as you like. Again, Devon was great here as he took plenty of photos for us and worked his way around the group to make sure everyone was happy and getting photos themselves.
They also have a photographer who took some amazing shots, at the beginning and end of the experience. We were able to purchase some of those in the shop afterwards.
Would highly recommend the experience to anyone, at £30 it’s a very affordable and fun experience.

We had great weather with clear blue skies so could see for miles. The first part of the climb is quite steep so not for unhealthy people carrying far too much weight!
The exhilaration of being so on the top of the O2 is good, although somewhat spoilt by the fact that in 3 directions there are so many taller buildings that you end up having to peer through the gaps. The best view is south, where there isn't that much to see!
The entrance was a bit clunky and the receptionists refused to let you in if you were 5 seconds before the allotted time; the satety briefing is a bit time consuming and they are determined to flog you as many extremely highly priced extras as possible (drinks on the roof, drinks on the ground, photos etc).
They do provide free climbing shoes if they deem the grips on your own footwear are not adequate. They also provide a gilet for free in which you can store your phone/camera. Everything (keys etc) else they want you to store in a locked box.
Took a couple of hours from start to finish.
A great trip out - really enjoyed it. And we did buy the £30 photo package which includes a download of everything they took of us.

What a FANTASTIC experience my family and I had on the 19th February 2023, It was our sons 13th Birthday and we had the most amazing weather conditions and the most professional guide for the climb.
Max the guide was absolutely fantastic , keeping us all up to date with the safety requirements throughout the climb and also informing the group of all the landmarks across London city.
Max topped things off with having the group sing Happy Birthday to our Son Evan which just made the experience so special and extremely personal too,
Thanks to Max for a fantastic climb over the roof of the o2 greatly appreciated and we will certainly be back again soon.
Best Regards
Lindsay, Mercy and Evan Ross

I'm glad I did it, that's all
Matt our guide was excellent. Although he's probably done the same trip 1000's of times, his jokes were still delivered like he believed in them and his care and attention was admirable. He was knowledgeable and it was as if he was doing just for us.
The experience itself was OK, but based on Matt himself and the good quality equipment, but it was not even worth half the standard price. The views are very disappointing. It's basically flats and offices, with a obscured view of the Naval College and long distance Greenwich Observatory.
The worst bit was the customer service behind the scenes was deplorable.
If we'd booked through a variety of their agents, we would pay exactly the same price, but crucially with the option to rearrange and/or cancel for a FULL refund within 24hours.
However, booking direct there is no such option. We paid the premium Saturday rate, but after my wife fell over, attending casualty the Thursday beforehand and couldn't walk for a few days, we tried to postpone. They said we couldn't, but after pleading, they agreed to charge us EXTRA to rearrange, (which was apparently a very special favour and they were under no obligation to perform such a daring feat)!
To add insult to injury, we didn't get any refund when we went on the Friday, which is much cheaper.

If you're thinking about booking, then do it!
We arrived 15 minutes before and were given the insurance form where you have to fill out shoe sizes and sign for any minors. We were then called for our time slot, and we met out guide Jack, watched a quick video and then we were given shoes, harness' and gilets if required. Outside as a group we went over how to put on the harness and then after going up the steps, had a few photo opportunities. The climb is steep but not long and I recommend doing a sunset climb as the changing colours of the sky were amazing. At the top you are left free to walk around and take photos before descending to the other side. Jack was a great guide, kept my 16 year old step-sister entertained with stories and jokes too. We bought a few of the photos at the shop at the end as these were good quality and not that expensive.

We went to the 02 not actually expecting too much as to be honest, we are both in our early thirties and it didn’t seem that high.
We were really pleasantly surprised that this was the highlight of our trip to London. Really fun, great views, challenging and we got some fab pictures.
Throughout this Covid time, we are a bit unsure about what is allowed and what is not and I would say that our guide Max made us feel very looked after with their policies and procedures to do with this as well as personal safety. Didn’t make anything boring either. Really engaging!
We got shoes and gilets which allowed us to take our phones up as they had zip pockets. I would recommend clothing that is Warm for the twilight climb as it was nippy up there in the evening so a hoody or sweatshirt is a must :) And ladies, go for a ponytail or have hair in your mouth the whole time haha!
The climb is actually pretty steep. I was surprised that it was challenging but defo not out of my comfort zone. Just a bit different than I imagined. Certainly not something that someone fit and healthy couldn’t do. It’s about 15/20 mins to climb up to the platform and we stuck together as a group and our guide made sure we all felt safe and kept together.
The platform is large and Max helped take photos of every single group so got some great shots! We were so grateful and you could see the twinkling lights for miles! Such a pretty way to see London in the evening! I would firmly recommend doing this at night. The champers was a lovely touch and made a great photo. Stayed up there for about 15 mins maybe more and then descended.
At the end there is a gift shop and you can buy any photos they professionally took however we just used our own which was fab!
Great experience and would firmly recommend for couples and kids alike! Fun fun fun!

Firstly, I would like to thank our guide, Rebecca Halt, who made this such an enjoyable experience for my grandson and myself. She not only put us completely at ease and full of confidence; she made it fun and created a real sense of adventure and achievement.
Rebecca gave us lots of interesting facts when we got to the top and pointed out many things that were fascinating.
The photos taken at different points on the climb were amazing and I never like staged photos - so well done to the photographers. I bought the souvenir package which at £30 for 3 photos in presentation booklets, 2 keyring photos and all photos on a digital download, I though was good value.

Great experience, great guide. Robin was full of energy with lots of informations and fun facts while climbing to the top. At 8:30 pm we enjoyed the view, weather was perfect, beautiful light perfect for taking pictures once we got to the top. The entire team from the reception department to the photography is really nice and friendly. Love the slogan “get over it”…!!! If you are in London, get over it…

We did the O2 climb to belatedly celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.
The weather forecast wasn’t great but as we arrived early we decided to ask if we could climb in an earlier group to try and take advantage of the sunshine. This was accommodated with no issues, so we were able to climb while the sun was out which was great!
We loved the experience and even though the climb itself isn’t particularly challenging we found it very enjoyable and a fun experience. Our tour guide Matt was fun and knowledgeable and took time to make sure everyone had the photos they wanted at the top.
Only quibble was £8 each for the tiniest glass of champagne...felt a bit steep!
Would recommend this to anyone - we will bring our kids to do it once they’re old enough.

The climb can be done from age 12 upwards, it can put a strain on your knees and back, but I would say if you don't have any medical/health problems it's probably ok. But as I don't know you it's really difficult to say.

We have pre-purchased the London Pass from GoCity. However, I am unable to figure out how to make a reservation for the climb using our voucher/ pass number. Booking the Shard was easy, as there was a field specifically for each of the ticket numbers, just don’t see that as an option when do a reservation on the Up at the O2 site. Thank you!

Do you have to wear a mask when you climb? It will mean the difference between me booking or not as can’t hear the thought of a mask when I’m outside exercising.

No, apart from when you are indoors and watching a safety briefing. However, you’re otherwise free not to wear one at all on the O2.
Hi can you choose whether to half a half or full suit to wear on the day?

Believe me you will need a full suit
