Oxford and Cotswolds Full-Day Small-Group Tour from London
From US$66.72
Overview
Visit Oxford and the Cotswolds in a small group of just six people, and enjoy more time to explore and see the sights that interest you most. Offering a more personal experience than a larger group tour but with the convenience of prearranged travel, this day trip offers a stress-free way to discover two of England's must-see spots outside of the capital.
What to Expect
Travel out of London and into the Chiltern Hills, a picturesque swathe of green countryside that has been the backdrop for many UK TV shows such as the Vicar of Dibley. Relax on the journey to your first stop in Oxford, then see the sights at your own expense. Perhaps check out the Oxford University college buildings, admire the art treasures of the Ashmolean Museum, or savor lunch in the center.

In the afternoon, you'll travel into the Cotswolds. Take in the scenery of the postcard-perfect stone villages, and stop in Bampton to see where scenes from Downton Abbey were filmed. Continue to the market town of Burford for an afternoon tea (if you wish), then make a final stop in Bibury, a pretty town loved by the likes of William Morris and Henry T Ford.

Your day then ends with a drop-off at the start point in London.

Beautiful countryside

We booked this tour online. This tour starts from Victoria coach station in crntral London. Transport is by a 16 seater van. A small transport is vital to visiting cotswold as big buses cannot get into narrow roads missing the drive oast along beautiful countryside....More

Perfect getaway from London

Loved my trip to Oxford and the Cotswolds. Our engaging driver/guide James gave us a good historic introduction to the region we would be seeing, gave us details about where we would be stopping, timelines for our visit, and answered all our questions. He personally...More

Frustrating -- 30 minutes per Cotswold Village; no leg room

If you are over 5 foot 6 inches the legroom on the mini coach is nonexistent. I was uncomfortable. There was no traffic slowdown whatsoever. Everything move as per Rabbie's schedule. Nevertheless, we averaged only 30 minutes per Cotswold village. In Oxford we had two...More

Hi there, Thanks very much for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that you were so uncomfortable on the tour bus. We do only use luxury Mercedes minicoaches which have more generous legroom than standard touring coaches. This is not to say that it's...More

Reasonable day trip

Would have preferred to go to Oxford first but we visited the cutesy photo opportunities first. Not sure of the value in these unless you like taking photos of very nice buildings AND a veritable swarm of touristsMore

Hi there, Christ Church in Oxford does often have morning closures for private events and services so we do reverse the itinerary in these cases, so that our passengers don't have to miss out on visiting this iconic and important site. We're glad that you...More
