      First trip to Oxford
Loved the guide provided by Rabbies. The coach was very nice and comfortable. trip to Oxford took a couple hours but once arrived we were left off to handle our visit. We arranged for a walking tour with students as guides which was great. However, two hours in Oxford is not sufficient so expect the desire to come back. the next two stops are awesome and very pretty little villages. some great shopping in Belford. Arrived back in London in good time to find a dinner spot. Would arrange trips with this group without hesitation.

      Touristic jewels
It was a really nice trip in February 2024. The minibus was nice and comfortable and our guide Francis was great: an excellent mix of pleasant humor, great tips and information, conversation and silence at the right time (his playlist was very nice as well). The places were what we had expected only slightly busier; the architecture, the atmosphere and luckily the weather did not disappoint.

      Terrific. You will love it.
I've now been on three Rabbie's tours; one to Devon and Cornwall, one to the Outer Hebrides, and one to the Orkneys. Had a marvelous time and many indelible experiences on each. Emily is one of the best guides imaginable; she was witty, acerbic, and hilarious. Rabbie's seems to hire only personable and well-prepared guides; they are also flexible and extremely helpful about changes to routine, slight additions to the program, etc. On Emily's tour, I saw a hillside filled with rippling streams and heather in full bloom; I asked if we could stop and she gave us one of my best experiences ever. The photos will always remind me of that interlude of pure joy and magic.

      Relaxing trip with entertaining guide.
Graham was a great host, fun and informative, with a wonderful sense of humour. There was just enough time at the Cotswalds villages and great to be able to wander around Oxford at our own pace. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Graham.

      Book the tour!
We did the Cotswold and Oxford day tour from London. This was our favorite tour of our trip. Francis was our guide and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made time to get to know each person in the small group. We chose Rabbies, because most other companies seem to cram in as many places as they can into one day, and we wanted to take our time. There was plenty of time in the cottages and Oxford.

Great tour of the Cotswolds and Oxford
This was the exact tour that we were looking for and so glad we found it! We knew we wanted to visit the Cotswolds and Oxford University, but were struggling to find a tour that did both in one day until we found Rabbie’s. This was a nice mix of each destination. We did 2 stops in the Cotswolds to start our day (Burford and Bibury). Our guide provided us with great recommendations at each stop. We went to Hunter’s Cakery and the Church in Burford. We walked Arlington Road in Bibury. It was a magical day with great weather for a January stop. We then went to Oxford and made a stop at the Turf Tavern and did the walking tour of Christ Church to see some of the Harry Potter locations. Then, we walked back admiring all the scenery of the town. All in all this was a fantastic day trip out of London. Our bus was a cozy 16 passenger Mercedes van/mini bus. It was easily found right at the address provided online and we were dropped back off in the same spot. Highly recommend this tour!

      Great company, great guide
Francis our tour guide was so knowledgeable and the whole tour was so well organised. We got lots of info on the way out of London and then he was quiet for the rest. A really good mix. He knew when to stop talking :)

Signed up for a tour, turned into a beautiful adventure!
We took a day tour to Oxford and The Cotswolds in December 2023. We signed up and expected a tour, but thanks to our amazing guide Sameul, we had an exquisite adventure. The ride was extremely comfortable and thanks to Sameul with his quick wit and sense of humour, along with a wide breadth of historical knowledge and interesting tidbits about all the places we went to, made the long drives go by in a flash. We were able to explore all the hidden treasures in the most beautiful places. Will always look up Rabbie's Tours in the future if this is the calibre of service one can expect from them! We plan to visit Scotland and Ireland soon and I will definitely book with them first and foremost if they have any tours available in the relevant regions. Thank you for showing us some beautiful places in a stunning way! Looking forward to doing some more exploring with Rabbie's Tours soon!

      Lovely day out
Wonderful sights, very comfortable drive and Graham made the journey and the stops very pleasant. The time of the year also helped because it wasn't over crowded

      Lost day
They do not consider timing well - after 1.5hrs security queue we had 15 min in Windsor, then they cancelled Stonehenge part, and we spent the rest of the day in Bath. I would tell it was a lost day.

      Must see
What a wonderful day trip! The scenery was spectacular, our guide Laura (I’m sorry but I honestly can’t recall her name but hoping/thinking this is correct) was great! Highly recommend. The seats were comfortable for such a long time sitting.

A sneak peek at the Cotswolds
An excellent day out. For us we would have preferred more time visiting local villages and less in Oxford. Our guide/driver Mark was excellent. Very knowledgeable, interesting and with great playlists.

I booked a day trip before with Rabbie's and had a great experience. Again I wasn't disappointed. Rabbie's booked the train ticket with reserved seat from London. Our driver Dom picked us up in Penrith in a small comfortable bus. He was very organised and knowledgeable. He didn't hesitate to add some stops for great views when we had the time and shift things around to dodge the rain for the photo ops. That is one thing to note. It can sometimes rain a lot there. So bring waterproof gear. That being said, this is still one of, if not the most beautiful region in England. Well worth dealing with the less than ideal weather.

As far as accommodations, we stayed in fantastic B&Bs in Keswick. While the tour also tends to stay in Windermere, it was peak tourist season so it would have been crowded. I was thankful that Keswick was cute and small with a decent amount of options for dinner (reservations are recommended though for many places).

Overall, we hit all the most important places to see and there was enough diversity of things to see (not just water). The optional activities are not too expensive and I think worth it, especially the steamboat cruise and the visit of Beatrix Potter's house.

I think this tour is great if you are visiting the UK and want to see something other than big cities. It's also great if you live in the south of England but have never been to the Lake District, especially if you don't have a car and/or don't want to drive yourself in the mountains.
