Amazing Tour
Oct 2021
My friend and I booked this tour with Stuart Usher after reading about his family's link to Edinburgh. He is an absolute gentleman and so interesting and informative, with a twinkle in his eye and fabulous sense of humour. He is passionate when talking about the history of the Old town and really brought to life some of the characters, good and bad and the way they conducted their day to day lives.
We would highly recommend booking this tour, a great way to see sights that would be easy to miss

Thank you Stuart and good luck in all you do, we will be sure to meet on our next visit

Dear Alison Great thanks unto thee for thine super duper Review. I remember you both well and your great enthusiasm to find out all you could about our ancient city and also to have a good time and make the most of it! Humour is so important in life and it also is a great help to me to make the info I am imparting actually stick my Clients heads. Please do visit again with your great friend Alison. Why not take a Private Tour with me where you will be the only ones with me!?? That way I can show you other parts of Edin and do what you both want!?? Best wishes Stuart U.

Our first visit and not likely to be our last
Having never been to Edinburgh before it was a very good introduction. Alison was so passionate and knowledgable- making it really interesting and informative. We were taken to places we would never have discovered ourselves.

Wonderful tour
Sep 2021 • Couples
We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with our knowledgeable guide Alison. We especially enjoyed the back streets of the old town and the way Alison transported us back in time to imagine what living there was like. She also told us great tales of the past concerning infamous individuals. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. Thank you to Usher tours and especially to Alison who patiently answered our endless questions.

You must go
Sep 2021 • Couples
Everything was very good as Mr Usher is very nice gentlemen, full of knowledge and we could listen him for hours. To explore the city with him was the best decision. I will never forget that he called us "chaps" and we were 5 in the group so It was very private tour.

Dear Uros Thank you very much indeed for your marvellous Review. Exploring an ancient city like Edinburgh with a decent guide is both enjoyable and enlightening ..... even if the guide calls everyone "chaps", the ladies included! You really must come to Old Edinburgh again sometime!? We would love to see you again. Best wishes Stuart U.

Highlight of Edinburgh
One of the highlights of our 3 day trip to Edinburgh! We thoroughly enjoyed all of Stuart’s stories and his witty sense of humour. I felt like we discovered so many little hidden closes and courtyards which we never would have found or seen ourselves. Like other reviews, I’d recommend doing this tour early in your trip so you can make use of Stuart’s recommendations. We still had an afternoon free to do some of his tips which were all spot on!

Dear London Many thanks for your glowing Review. Delighted that you also enjoyed my sense of humour among all the other things you discovered on the Tour. My humour can be a bit dodgy on occasion! I am also delighted that you enjoyed the worthwhile places I recommended to you. Camera Obscura is just so fantastic! Come on London, come to Edin again? Best wishes Stuart U

Very interesting tour taken at a good pace, plenty of opportunities to stop and ask additional questions. We had Stuart as our tour guide, who gave plenty of local knowledge and recommended other activities as we went along. Would recommend taking this tour early on your holiday so you can follow his recommendations!

The ideal introduction to Edinburgh.
Aug 2021 • Friends
Stuart Usher’s walking tour of Edinburgh was the perfect start to my 3 way stay in Scotland’s capital. His encyclopaedic knowledge was an enlightening and delightful review of its history, noting both the ‘good guys’ and the quite not so good. He brought centuries of history to life. The 3 hours walk - with coffee break, just flew.

His *book is also worth a read - to be digested after returning home. [*Rape of the House of Usher. 2020. £14.99]
