Glendalough and Wicklow Mountains Day Trip from Dublin
From US$35.44
Overview
Make a day trip to Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains from Dublin without the hassle of renting a car. Sit back and enjoy the drive while your guide takes care of the directions, saving your energy for exploring at each stop. Highlights include filming locations from Braveheart, boglands and the heather fields of the Sally Gap, and Glendalough's ancient monastic ruins.
What to Expect
Make your way to the pickup point in Dublin and settle into your seat as the coach leaves the bustling city behind. Sit back and enjoy the scenery on the way to County Wicklow without the bother of puzzling over directions and traffic.

Stop at Glencree Valley and then continue past the heather and bog landscape of the Sally Gap, some of the most filmed spots in Ireland, to the bridge featured in P.S. I Love You for a photo stop. In Lough Tay, see the lake known as Guinness Lake and some of the filming locations from the movie Braveheart and the TV show Vikings.

On to Glendalough, famous for St. Kevin’s monastery and its 10th-century round tower as well as its upper and lower lakes. Learn about the ancient history of this site through your guide's commentary before heading to the village of Avoca for lunch at a local pub (own expense).

Great Guide for our Wicklow Mountains-Tour

We've been on this Tour with Eoin last suday (10.06.18) and it was both, funny and informative. Eoin is very knowledgable: dates, facts, figures and all about nature and plants as well. We would definitely recommend this tour! Cheers!

Eoin our bus driver was a great driver but his knowledge, wit and humour was outstanding. He kept us entertained and instilled a deep meaning of Irish history of the people and landmarks. It was great to hear his knowledge of plants, animals and landscapes....More

Amazing!

My friend and I have gone on a few tours in Dublin now and this one, while short and sweet, was done by the most incredible guide (Eoin)! His commentary was a wonderful mix of facts, history, story, and a bit of comedy. Thoroughly enjoyed...More
