Great Irish Tour
Oct 2019
My husband I did the Southwest Ireland tour with Jerome. What a great tour, Jerome was fantastic from start to finish, nothing was a problem. The actual tour was fantastic and I am sure we would not have seen everything we did if we drove ourselves. We learnt so much from Jerome, he was a wealth of knowledge without going overboard. Our group was mainly American and Canadian, we were the only Australians, everyone was very friendly and got on well. We were extremely lucky with the weather and the scenery was beautiful. The only thing I would change is, we stayed in the bed and breakfast options, I would stay in the hotel option next time.

A tour and driver 2nd to none !!!
Oct 2019
Hello all.

We took a 5 day Rabbie's Southwest Ireland Tour on October 17th 2019.
Our driver's name was Jerome.

Usually, when going to Europe, I rent a car.
This time we decided to relax a bit, and take this small group tour instead.

Jerome was the consummate tour-guide/driver.

His friendliness and sense of humor were genuine.
Always helpful w/bags...always with a great sense of humor, and...always with endless commentaries regarding every single place we visited.

SO MANY tidbits of information were given along our journey....
We learned a semester's worth of Irish history in that 5 day tour !!!

His driving was impeccable.
He showed a patience in traffic that I wish that I, myself, had !!!

He had everyone's welfare covered, with advice re each visited site.
Always made it a point to advise of potential problems in case someone
had a walking problem, etc.

Advised us which way would result in the best photos, etc, when at the Cliffs of Moher, eg.

With his sense of humor, he had us either laughing or smiling, the whole trip.

I have taken tours in Asia a number of times.

Rabbies Tours was impeccable...EACH AND EVERY DETAIL AND CONCERN COVERED !!

Always on time re pick-ups.
If he mentioned a pick-up time, you could set your watch by it !!

A great value for the money spent !!!!!!

I will be using Rabbies Tours again when I return on my next trip there.

In all honesty...I could not find one thing wrong the whole trip.

Jerome, a prior police officer, was impeccable in every sense !

A perfect example...
2 passengers were leaving our tour to join another tour that went to a different area.
They were to be picked up where we were stopped...at Blarney Castle.,
Jerome waited until he was sure that we could safely deliver these 2 people
to the next tour..

If he was not so concerned with seeing that they were not just left there, and that they
were able to successfully continue on their next tour, they could have had problems if
the pick-up didn't go smoothly.

I am VERY satisfied with Rabbie's, and WILL be using them again.

I would almost take another trip just so I could book them again !!!!!
Thank you!!

Wonderful Wild Atlantic Way Tour
Oct 2019 • Couples
From the ‘get go’ our tour guide, Hugh, got our small group into our Irish adventure. We learned much about this beautiful country with its rich history and stunning landmarks. Bed and breakfasts on the way at Galway, and then Killarney were superbly appointed with great breakfasts. Variety of Irish cultural experiences were provided including Irish dancing and sheep dog trials. Hugh was the ultimate host, driver and story teller. Our group have became good friends and will share our memories for years to come. Thanks Rabbies and Hugh!

Dream trip come true
Sep 2019
I had been wanting to visit Ireland ever since I was a young girl living in Canada and finally got to fulfill my dream. I went with a girlfriend and we decided to take a five day bus tour so we didn't have to fuss about driving, getting lost etc. What a fantastic move on our part! Rabbie's Tour exceeded our expectations not only for mapping out a fabulous five-day journey to see all the wonderful countryside and castles of beautiful Ireland, but for providing a fabulous tour guide. Hugh O'Reilly went over and above the call of duty. His knowledge of Ireland's history was very impressive and his suggestions for restaurants and entertainment during the evening when we were on our own was spot on. He always made us feel safe and comfortable and his sense of humour was most appreciated. Book this trip NOW and make sure Hugh is your tour guide!

Fantastic All Encompassing Tour
Sep 2019
We undertook this trip recently (Sep 2019). We were taken to all the sites we expected to see according to the itinerary and a few more!!! The 16 seater bus was very comfortable (there were 12 on the tour which gave us a bit more room). Our driver/guider was Hugh o'Reilly who was fantastic. Nothing was a trouble and he was flexible with the needs of all on the coach. We learnt so much about Ireland it was incredible. He was literally a fountain of knowledge.
Everybody on our trip agreed it was an incredible experience.

Wonderful trip!
Sep 2019
My husband and I did this 5 day tour with Brian as our guide. There were 10 of us traveling in a nice mini bus. It was so pleasent to have someone driving and giving us commentary on the sights along with color about the history and people of Ireland. Brian was very flexible to the needs of the group and respectful to everyone. I highly recommend as this being the way to see Ireland if you do not want to be in a huge bus or drive yourself.
The only issue we all had was Rabbie's did not let us know our accomodations in each town until we were pulling into the town. That made it difficult to notify family or have the right amount of euros for those places that required cash payment.
I look forward to doing another Rabbie tour.

Enchanting Ireland
Sep 2019
I had a wonderful, first- time trip to Ireland with excellent guide Hugh O’Reilly. This was a good taste of Southwest Ireland, lots of towns and sights visited, dramatic landscapes and Hugh couldn’t have been more hospitable, knowledgeable and hilariously entertaining. The small group (8 of us) made for more intimate travel and allowed us all to make stops that were more in our interest instead of adhering to a strict travel schedule. Definitely recommend!

Family reunion, private tour—Excellent!
Sep 2019
We had a 14-person private tour for a family reunion vacation. Having the full bus to ourselves was great and our five days both flew by and felt like one long adventure. Ian Moriarty was our guide and we all quickly gelled. He's a fun and knowledgeable guide who knows how to work with a large group…even one that can be a little unruly at times. I appreciated Ian's presentation of options, but also the times at which he set firm boundaries around what was possible or advisable.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather…only really one rainy day, which really helped make the trip amazing. Standout spots for us were Clon Macnoise, the cliffs of Moher, and Blarney Castle. The castle was a real surprise, as we were worried it would be cheesy or overrun with tourists. We did our best throughout the trip to avoid large crowds, but sometimes you just can't. Getting to Blarney early and doing the stone first is key. After that, I'd recommend spending the bulk of the time wandering the expansive grounds and gardens—they were excellent!

My only word of warning is for folks with mobility issues. You can't very easily do a tour of Ireland without significant walking…and some over uneven terrain. We had a mix of abilities on our bus and some were really beat by the end. If you're going and aren't in great shape, do yourself a favor and start walking a few weeks before your trip to build up some stamina.

One special shout-out to Ian for helping one of our folks retrieve his phone after we'd bid adieu for the evening. The Rabbie's network went into action and the phone was returned well before dinner. All-in-all this was a memorable trip and every one of us had a great time. I'd heartily recommend Rabbies, this tour, and Ian in particular.

Great trip and Great driver/guide
Aug 2019
Me, the wife, and my teenage son decided to do a last minute trip to Ireland and found this reasonably priced gem of a trip that allowed you to sample the Southern half of Ireland in a 5 day trip. They will book your hotel or bed and breakfast for you or you can research and book your own accommodations. the only bad thing is they do not tell you the hotels ahead of time if they book it. Wife is particular about the Hotels so we booked our own accommodations and were very happy with that.
The Tour itself was Great - Hugh O'Reilly was very knowledgeable about the itinerary and was a friendly, personable guy who you were happy to spend a 5 day bus trip with as our Driver/Guide. Our fellow travelers were from all over the world and a good group to travel with. Great trip to sample Ireland and makes me want to come back and visit soon.
