About
Sure, have you never heard of an Irish half hour? It can stretch out for days and 5 days is what you’ve got to experience this memorable, expertly guided road trip, over ever-changing landscape, along The Wild Atlantic Way. From shucking Clarinbridge oysters and downing creamy stout in Galway, to the jaw dropping sights of the Ring of Kerry, with only the Atlantic separating the 40 shades from the 50 U.S. states. Cool down with Fungie, Dingle’s resident dolphin who came for the fish in 1984 and stayed for the craic or feel like you’re at the edge of the world, at the dramatic Cliffs of Moher. And how about a spot of kissing at the Blarney Stone where you’ll come away with the gift of the ‘gab’ (talk); handy for ‘having the craic’ with your small tour group. And in between the heritage and culture, bohemian Galway and dinky Doolin, there’ll be ceol agus craic (music and boldness), seafood and banter and an epic road-trip you’ll never forget.

Felt like a private tour!
Oct 2019 • Couples
The tour sounded great online and enrollment was simple but the trip turned out so much better than expected. Although it was a "zest" tour we had quite a spectrum of physical abilities in our group of 16. All were seamlessly accommodated at each venue. Activities were varied, interesting and memorable. A highlight for me was The Cliffs. Some will say this is a tourist trap but not when taken in with local guide Pat who took us on a memorable 3 hour trek. Outstanding! All local guides were excellent.

Lodgings were always well located, clean, comfortable and with good breakfasts. Transportation was first class and great effort was made to cover the necessary ground without spending your day in the van.

All sounds OK right? Well the straw that stirred this drink and the differentiator for me was our guide Frankie Burke. Informative, attentive to everyone's individual needs, fun & friendly while quietly being very efficient. If all of Overland's guides are even close to Frankie's abilities then they have figured out the recipe for this business. This young man was a real pro.

All in all I had fairly moderate expectations for this trip based on the price point but was very pleasantly surprised with the total experience. Whenever we encountered other tours along our way with 50 or 60 folks wearing name tags on a huge bus I felt like I was on a private, down to earth, tour with 15 new friends. Highly recommended!

Best tour guide, best local guides , best accommodation

This tour was everything we had hoped for. We only had a few days to explore Ireland and this tour had the best bits. Our guide Marie was amazing and such a lovely person. The other good thing Overland did was using local guides where ever they went. Barry in Kinsale was great and so was Pat who took us off the beaten path at the Cliffs of Moher. Our group consisted of 14 passengers and everyone got along great. Our coach was roomy and even had WiFi. Great tour and would highly recommend it.

Informative and picturesque
I travelled solo with the 5-day overland trip. Our guide, Frankie, transported us safely around to amazing locations, playing songs for us and telling us different stories. The activities were distributed in an optimal way. I learned a lot about the history of Ireland, and would definitely recommend it. Ps: the kayaking with Fungie was unfortunately cancelled due to strong winds. In stead, some of us opted to go on a hike to Mount Brendon, which was fine as well.
