Our tour days with Gerard made our trip to Ireland unforgettable. We did “tree” days in total. 😂 The third day was the Cliffs of Moher and The Barren. Gerard worked to accommodate our interests. His storytelling, knowledge, and music is second to none! Thank you Gerard for sharing your beautiful homeland with us. You will be forever in our hearts.

What a fantastic way to see Western Ireland! Our trip was planned around a 5-day woodturning course a number of us attended prior to this trip. Our travel agent recommended this tour. Not being a fan of large bus tours, this was the perfect alternative to driving ourselves. Our tour guide Garrard was very flexible. He picked us up in Kilkenny and started the tour from there. We headed to Cork and Blarney Castle. When we arrived and saw the crowds we decided this was not the place for us. Garrard called an audible and took us to a small town where we had a nice quiet lunch outside! We also decided to avoid the busy visitors center at the Cliffs of Moher, so Garrard found another spot - we were the only tourists there - to get a beautiful view of the cliffs. We were taken to a bog, the Burren, and other out of the way places to avoid the crowds and get a feel for the small towns and get a feel for the real Ireland. We also enjoyed the main attractions such as the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. In Killarney we visited the Muckross house where Garrard took us on a walk around the area as well as a hike into the woods and a grand view of Muckross lake. In total we hiked about 7 miles. Absolutely wonderful! I would truly love to visit Ireland again and would certainly contact Garrard for another four day tour!

First, our guide was very personable and such an expert on the area. Felt like we saw hidden gems of the area. He gave us options based on our interests. In the end, felt like my friends and I were touring around with a friend we have known for years.

Hi Gerard, We have been more than pleased! Sean was the best and put up with us from beginning to end, which is a lot! We all cannot say how much we appreciated his help and he never said no. As you know, we had luggage issues (not me, how did I get so lucky!!) so that brought needs to be worked through and he was so accommodating. You saved us when we arrived in Dublin with no place to go to the point of Sean getting us on the train in Mallow. I had no clue about what the heck I had gotten us into there! We are still recalling the laughs and stories that Sean had to listen to for 3 days and that we all so very much enjoyed recalling about our lives and our travels together. My family of 5 spent 3 wonderful days touring with Gerard visiting Killarney National Park, Kenmare, Dingle and a stop at the Rock of Cashel on our way back to the airport in Dublin. My teen and young adult children loved the experience as much as my husband and I did! Gerard is a wealth of knowledge and even took us to some places off the beaten path. A short hike to a hidden cemetery and a stop at Inch Beach were particular highlights and things we wouldn't have experienced on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring and experiencing the beauty of the region in the comfort of Gerard's luxury van. Even the rain didn't detract from such a wonderful experience! We look forward to touring with Gerard the next time we visit Ireland.

We were lucky enough to have 4 great days of touring with Gerard. He had wonderful suggestions of places we might want to see and we had talked to him about before we left. We saw things that he suggested that we would of never seen on our own, like the Baskel Islands, so much history. Gerard was a pleasure to be with and incredibly knowledgeable. He has a luxury van which was very comfortable for 4 people with plenty of room . The love of his country comes through on his tours. I highly recommended him to anyone who would like a personalized service of tours in Ireland.

By far the highlight of our 10 day Ireland trip! If you are lucky enough to be able to get on Gerard Scott’s schedule, book immediately! Gerard took us on a two day tour of the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. They were one of the most beautiful, magical places I’ve ever seen. He took us to off the beaten path places that only a local would know about, sharing his witty stories, music, and historical knowledge. He even gave us lessons in speaking the Gaelic language. Seeing these places through his perspective was so fun and special. Both Gerard and Ireland now hold a special place in our hearts. I will be back and hopefully I’ll be lucky enough to hire Gerard again.

We had an all day private tour for 4 of the Ring of Kerry with a focus on Skellig Ring! Annie was our driver and she was great! The weather was great so we had terrific views of the Kerry Cliffs and the gorgeous ocean views. We loved that Annie grew up along the Skellig Ring!

Our small group had a grand 4-day experience touring southern and western Ireland with Gerard as our driver and guide. Very knowledgeable about the country and its history. A kind, good-humored man. The vehicle was new and clean and comfortable. I believe we saw more of the real Ireland than most visitors. Strongly recommend this service for a true Ireland experience.

gerard instantly became one of my favorite people. i rode around with him for a few days and it was hands down my favorite part of my month in ireland. he showed me magical places i never would’ve seen otherwise and that i hope will stay with me forever. he’s hilarious, knowledgeable, and an absolute joy to be around. i enjoyed every moment of it and i can’t wait to go back and do it again.

We hired Gerard for two days of private tours and we were delighted with the experience. When I was planning, he was quick and clear in his replies. On the tours, he was flexible and open to our suggestions. My partner had read many books centered around the Dingle Peninsula and had built quite a wish list of sights. Gerard followed through graciously and added several must-sees along the way. We experienced both vehicles because one day there were two of us and the second day we needed the van since we included four family members. Clearly Gerard loves children. He was really good with our grandchildren. Regardless, both vehicles were perfectly safe and clean. We were taken through Killarney National Park at the end of one tour. We would have missed it if left to our own devices. That would have been a huge mistake. Also, Gerard recommended Killarney House which we would have overlooked. It's a must see and would be fun for children as well as adults. His advice was spot on. We walked from our lodging in Killarney; it wasn't a tour stop. But it's free and wonderful. This was a holiday gift to my partner so I asked if they were pleased. The answer was that their expectations were exceeded! I highly recommend Gerard Scott for private tours by car and van.

My adult daughter and I had the utmost pleasure of touring Ireland this summer with Gerard. We met him in Galway and we toured Cliffs of Mohr. As he dropped us off he mentioned, by the way, the fog will roll in in two hours make sure you head left first. As if we set a timer, the fog rolled in two hours later. The rest of our excursion was as equally deftly orchestrated. We spent the next four days touring Ireland with Gerard. (Cliffs of Mohr, Dingle Peninsula, Killarney, Garnish Island and more) From exploring new locations to Gerard's lovely singing, our entire Irish experience was simply magnificent due to our time with him. Gerard shared the love of his country, the most beautiful countryside and we wholeheartedly and unequivocally endorse you hiring him.

Gerard was a fantastic guide and driver. The basics were in place, punctual (if not early), clean and comfortable vehicle, and very knowledgeable about the area and its history. His humor and friendliness made the trips easy to enjoy. His suggestions for things to do and see turned out to be close to perfect for what we were looking for. All in all you couldn't ask for a better guide in the area. We would book him again in a heartbeat.
