Saeed did a great job of giving us some history, and making the day memorable and enjoyable. He made sure everyone was comfortable. Delightfully planned out. The chateaux were beautiful and amazing, and the town of Blois was a charming surprise.

Wine tasting was only 30 minutes of the trip, so if you're looking for an actual wine tour, this is not for you. This is more of a tour of the chateaus (castles)
Bus ride was long, and there were way more people than what was advertised (40-50 people)
Guide was great, easy to understand and very helpful and friendly
Easy to find the meeting point
Second chateau was overly crowded
Value for money was pretty good
Gardens were beautiful
Return time is 7-9pm, so pack for a long day
One bathroom/snack break halfway between the long drive to and from
Bus driver worked really hard to get us back in traffic
Bus ride was long, and there were way more people than what was advertised (40-50 people)

We were a group of 25 people from the US as part of a Study Abroad program. Our tour guides Syed and Goran were wonderful guides throughout the whole tour. They provided an excellent background of the history behind the chateaus of the Loire Valley, and did it in an engaging way. I would highly recommend Syed and Goran as tour guides!
City Wonders was also a good company with which to work. They are super-efficient throughout the process of booking all the way through the tour. The bus left on time and we had the appropriate amount of time at the chateaus. I also like that they have offices in the US that were able to help us when the European offices were closed.

Loved this tour. Guides Saeed & Goron were so knowledgeable and helpful and fun. Bus was comfortable and they stop for coffee and pastry in the morning if you are worried about the early wake up time. With a big group like this you really just get a taste test of each castle and the Blois town which was my favorite part I think. Hard to choose a favorite part everything was lovely.

A perfect day trip to vary our trip to France. The operators were thoughtful and kept our group of 30 organized and informed. The bus was comfortable and the Chateau's were beautiful and varied. What made the trip interesting for my wife and I was the history and stories presented by Saeed and Sam!

Has great potential. Loved the Loire Valley. Knowledgeable guides (Goran was good) and good driver. However, the guides rushed us on the last and best castle (Chenenceau). Gave us 40 minutes to do the castle, how is that possible? The large tour bus probably was too large and would have preferred paying more for a smaller group experience. Not sure why the tour operator did not send a request for feedback... i'm posting this so others know this. I wish I had. For someone who had to travel almost 12 hours to visit Paris, I'd rather pay a little more for a positive memorable experience. This was not one of them.

The tour guides Saeed and Goran did an excellent job in guiding, providing excellent insight to the three stops in addition to the history of Paris and France. Plus, they were quite entertaining. The drivers also did an excellent job.

Too rushed. Wish we had more time to explore Chenonceau more. It was the best castle. Given only an hour and it required everyone to rush through. The tour guides seemed friendly and knowledgeable, Those wanting a smaller group experience may wish to consider elsewhere. Interestingly the operator never sent a follow up feedback as I’m sure they would have heard the same from other visitors.

John’s passion for French history is evident as he recounts events as if he were there…the comedic, the scandalous and the dramatic. Gorn was very informative and provided excellent context throughout the tour. Our driver, Dragon, showed grace under pressure due to wayward tourists and navigated us smoothly and safety. Our stop for lunch in the very charming town of Blois was a bit too short as there was much to enjoy.

Yeah I'd agree with Christine! Would just add it's a bus with other people and an agenda so even if you could work out with them to not take the return trip, I'd expect they need to stick to their scheduled stops versus going anywhere else or swapping the day around. It's a really great trip! Hope you can make it work for your schedule.

Can additional wine glasses be purchased to drink after the tasting? Not just bottles but rather glasses that you can drink there.

Bottles can be bought at both locations we went to drink later but otherwise we had enough wine from just the tastings that I was definitely feeling it myself! With lunch, you get the tasting plus a couple glasses of the wine they serve and a dessert wine. We also tried a few at the last location but it was the last thing we did for the day.
