Honestly, we were a bit skeptical at first not knowing what to expect. The Private Louvre tour is a bit pricey, and it's a foreign country so you don't know what you're in for at the time of booking. And honestly, you never know if these reviews are real are not... Nancy texted us about an hour before letting us know where she'll be. Literally, from the moment we met up with her all of our skepticism and fear went away. Her level of knowledge, enthusiasm, fun, vibrant personality made this tour worth every penny. I was able to ask for a bit of a diversion of the routine (as I have an interest with ancient Egypt) and Nancy was able to accommodate. The Louvre and its many pieces are incredibly overwhelming and she was able to level us and make sure the tour was guided and specific while being able to detour and go on the fly. When we come back to Paris next year (2024) - I hope it's ok we request you for another Louvre tour (so much more to see!!!) and other historic parts of Paris as well! I don't just recommend a Louvre tour.... my wife and I recommend Nancy to make the tour a success.

We had a great tour with Olesya. She met us promptly on time and got us through the line fairly quickly. Although we came on a rather rainy-day offseason, the skip the line was worth it as there still was a good long line to enter. Olesya, crafted the tour around our asks and was very attentive with all of our questions which i am sure could have drove her nuts at times as we were all very interested in art and the museum. She answered all our questions in stride. The tour is a lot of quick walking and recommend staying after tour to spend some time on your own as the Louvre is just too large to see it all in a few hours. Olesya had small transmitters with earpiece so we could hear her over the crowd which allowed each of us to stray a bit and still hear all the history from her as we moved through the galleries. All in all, an excellent tour and a great day with a great guide.

As first-time visitors to the Louvre, we felt that having a guide might be wise since the museum is absolutely enormous and overwhelming. We were in a small group, six of us total, guided by the brilliant and funny, Sunday. She led us through the various galleries to the most iconic works and gave us a thorough history, with fun anecdotes, that only someone passionate about art and art history could do. To have someone on hand that you can ask pointed questions to about these monumental works is worth every extra euro spent on the cost. Sure, you could wander the Louvre and read the placards or listen to the audio tour, but to see the work through the eyes of someone who knows it intimately, will gain you a perspective that is priceless.

I just wanted to skip the line and get few interesting facts, what we got was so much more.
Our guide Duna, was amazing! Very knowledgeable. Her descriptions made pieces come to life.
We did see Mona Lisa, the line to it is pretty long but moved fast. Be prepared with your camera they only let you snap one photo and tell you to move on.
The museum is HUGE you have to be very selective about what to see. I would recommend going to Napoleon’s apartments. They were amazing.
Guide can give you a tickets once tour is over so you can roam on your own. You can connect to the Louvre WiFi it is free and research more about pieces that peak your interest.

With such an expansive museum, it’s hard to know where to start! This tour helped orient us to the Louvre—we got to see key highlights, plus a few pieces we wouldn’t have known to look for. Our guide, Miriam, was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about art—she helped give us context behind all of the works that we saw, explained their significance, and helped us notice details that made each one special. For visitors that are new to the Louvre and/or to art or who can only spend a few hours and want to see the highlights, I would highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic Tour! We skipped the very long line at the entry which was convenient for us and our 95 year old mother in a wheelchair. The best part was the detailed and unique stories our very knowledgeable guide shared with us. The private tour lasted 2 1/2 hours but we could stay longer once we entered because there is so much more to see. We were very happy with the art we saw on the tour including the Mona Lisa. We would highly recommend Florent as a guide because his passion for the art and the artists is infectious and we walked away wanting to know more. Florent is a wonderful representative for Babylon Tours and we would highly recommend this tour to make your Louvre museum visit memorable!

Our tour guide, Barbara, was spectacular. Erudite, personable, considerate and incredibly knowledgeable. There were 6 of us on the tour and she was able to tailor the tour to our interests at the drop of a dime. Two adults on the tour were very knowledgeable in their own right and the dialogue between them and Barbara elevated the tour without alienating the three younger teens on the tour. Seeing the Louvre on one’s own is often overwhelming and this museum is so immense that taking a tour is an excellent way to get the most bang for one’s buck. We would highly recommend this tour. Please recognize that the Louvre is VERY crowded and it is sometimes difficult to hear your tour guide over the noise of other people. That being said, if your are interested in items off the beaten path, you will find yourself in rooms with hardly any crowds.

This has been my dream to visit Louvre since I was a child. We got so lucky to find this tour because We had the perfect tour guide Anatole he was so knowledgeable he knew so much about the art the museum every question we asked he had a answer for.
We were so impressed with his knowledge and his educational background. You could feel Anatole love for the museum.
He made us feel like royalty the whole tour.
My husband asked me how much I spent on this tour after it was over because he thought it must have been very exclusive.
However he did comment he didn’t care how much it was because whatever it was it was worth it.
When I did tell him he could not believe the care we where given on this tour by Anatole and his knowledge and the reasonable amount this cost.
Many thanks for adding to our memorable trip to Paris. Anatole and his history lesson of the Louvre will never be forgotten!

We booked the private family tour with Babylon Tours for our family of five with kids ages 8, 11, and 14. Our tour guide, Nancy, was wonderful! She did a great job of keeping the kids engaged while giving an interesting and educational background of the art. In the words of my youngest daughter, "It was so easy to understand and gave you history and it was so fun. I would definitely do another tour with Nancy!" Such an easy and informative way to see the Louve for the first time.

Malaika led a fun and informative tour through the Louvre. I appreciated the narrative she wove through the 2.5 hours. We chose to stay in the Louvre after the tour and see more. Security and entry was quick with the tour group. We booked the tour the day before when we realized online tickets were sold out on the Louvre website. Would definitely recommend for other first-time or returning Louvre visitors.

Hello Babylon Tours Paris,
In the section "What's included" it says that Temporary exhibitions are NOT included.
Can you please clarify:
- does it means that it is not included in the guided tour part, but we can see them later on our own;
- or it is not included in the ticket admission and we cannot see them after the guided part is over?
Regards,
Joanna
