Our tour group was incredibly intimate (one other person including myself and my husband) so we were able to ask every single question we could think of and get an in depth answer. It truly felt like we were walking the streets of Paris with an incredibly knowledgeable friend. François also took my special request to see a part of the city that I had wanted to explore! Oliver is a fun and informative tour guide. He was able to answer our questions about the history of a fascinating part of Paris. He also showed us buildings that were right in front of us but would have still missed and not understood their import without his insight. It was a very good use our time.

We did the Latin Qtr tour in Paris with a fantastic guide, Georgia and the consensus from the family is that this walking tour was the best thing we did during the trip to Paris. Georgia's in-depth knowledge and her style of delivering the information kept our 6 y & 10 y old fully engaged throughout the 2.5 hour tour. She shared many anecdotes and facts that was very unique and interesting.
Georgia covered the main parts of the Latin Qtr without rushing or skipping, but also provided breaks to ensure that we caught a break for water and snacks as it was a hot day in Paris.
Georgia was also very good at answering the questions we (and the other family) had to ask. The highlight for us was the time we spent admiring all the stained glass and architecture at a nearby Cathedral (since Notre Dame is closed for tours) and Georgia's color commentary on the symbolism and history of the paintings.
Thanks Georgia and Babylon Tours for creating a wonderful memorable visit to the Latin Qtr.

Eduardo was an amazing guide, breathing life into Paris’s history as we toured the Latin Quarter. He entertained our questions and related interesting stories throughout. He presented his considerable expertise as an art historian in a relatable way that we (and our 13 and 11 year-olds) really enjoyed.

Our guide a history professor from Ireland named Hugo was outstanding. The breadth and depth of his knowledge of the Quartier Latin was outstanding. The history of the area from Roman occupation to Charlemagne and the franks, the French Revolution, napoleon to the modern era. His presentation was highly entertaining and the two hour tour went by in a flash. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in gaining a deeper understanding culture the history and the architecture of the Latin quarter

Our two and a half hour tour of the Latin Quarter with tour guide Hugo was a most enjoyable experience! Hugo really knew his material, presented it in an educational, engaging and entertaining manner. Our total tour group was six and that, no doubt, added to Hugo’s ability to personalize our tour. Very easy to recommend.

My husband and I had a great time with François as our guide—he provides a great mix of knowledge, humor, and enthusiasm for the sites we visited, and he included a lot of great tidbits and anecdotes about people related to the sites to enliven them for us. The list of sites on the tour is also a good blend of major stops and a few more out of the way places. We actually got stuck on the metro on our way to the tour and ended up having to catch them about 20 minutes in, but François was helpful in ensuring we caught up with them and getting us up to speed. We also enjoyed the smaller group size (our tour was six people), which made it easy both to ask questions and make comments/engage with the group as a whole.

François was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, going out of his way to point out locations and details he thought would interest us. He was an excellent storyteller. We left feeling much more informed about the history of the Latin Quarter in context of French history. He also extended our tour to make sure we got to see all the important sites that we were interested. I would highly recommend a tour with François.

Since the fire at Notre Dame does this private tour still go there or is there a substitution for that part of the tour?
Written 30 April 2019
I'd like to know how much time is spent in Notre Dame? We have seen it several times in the past. We would love to go up in the tower, but don't really need another tour of the main church. We are a party of 4, looking at March 19th.
