Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig - DIGITAL ART CENTER
Stop: 2 hours - Admission included
The Kunstkraftwerk is located in the west of Leipzig - a former industrial area that is now a trendy, creative district. After the heating plant was shut down in 1992, it was acquired and renovated in 2012. The focus of the new use is on the presentation of immersive and digital art. The spectacular "Immersive Art Shows" move visitors among other things. with VAN GOGH experience, HUNDERTWASSER experience, the wonder worlds of Alice or Invisible into other worlds. This immersive art is a kind of art experiment with which a wider audience can experience a new sensory experience. The viewer is no longer in front of the work or the stage, but the viewer is in the center and becomes an integral part of the work. Accompanying the immersive shows, the Kunstkraftwerk shows exhibitions by international artists with contemporary and media art.
