Granada’s UNESCO-listed Alhambra attracts long on-the-day ticket lines and requires a guided tour to do it justice. This private tour—which includes your entrance fee—provides skip-the-line access to eliminate waits and a personal guide so you don’t miss a thing about the complex’s history. Explore the Nasrid Palaces, Alcazaba, Generalife, and more; and enjoy in-depth personalized commentary so you leave knowing everything you want.
What to Expect
Confirm your preferred start time and meet your guide in central Granada. Then, skip the Alhambra’s long entrance lines, heading straight inside the UNESCO-listed complex.

Admire the 13th-century Alcazaba fortress, as you learn about the Nasrid sultans—Spain’s last Muslim rulers—who reigned from 1230 to 1492. Next, see the ornamental halls and chambers of the Nasrid Palaces and Comares Palace, as you hear about the sultans and their harems, taking in highlights including the Patio of the Lions en route.

View the Renaissance-era Palace of Charles V, built when Granada came under Catholic rule, and discover the courtyards and greenery of the Alhambra gardens. Afterward, explore the neighboring Generalife gardens, the patios, pools, and archways of which served as the sultans’ summer retreat. Listen as your guide shares the gardens’ history, and feel free to ask any questions you wish throughout.

When the time comes, your tour concludes at the Alhambra.

By far the best way to see the Alhambra

Excellent, helpfull and knowledgeable guide. This is without doubt the best possible way to see the Alhambra and Generalife. Our guide William was a local man whose enthusiasm for his subject was obvious. We thoroughlyenjoyed the day.

The best way to see this great site

The site itself would have been awe-inspiring, but having a guide to assist made it so much more worthwhile. Our guide, Martha, was very knowledgeable and gave life to the surroundings. We enjoyed the day very much.

I would say speed not necessarily an issue though there is some distance to cover. There are a few stairs into a building and a garden or two. Taken slow I would not see as this insurmountable. As for travel query, I am... More
