The king's path is possibly the most famous trail in Spain and this is due to the great natural beauty of its route, which runs through the Gaitanes gorge following the Guadalorce river route.

It is easy to observe the Egyptian vultures, Golden Eagles, Bonelli's Eagles and many other native birds of the area, the flora also deserves a mention when it is found in the area endemisms such as the Zapapicos (Rupicapnos Africana) or the Escobon (Citusu Malacitanus),
