Such a waste
Feb 2020 • Family
We were a group of 10 and when we got picked up by the bus (a bit late) we were put way in the back of a full bus and told that we keep those seats for the whole trip. Pretty bad because for x6 people at the back there were no windows for them to enjoy the view. That did not change for the whole trip!

After a few more pickup stops we arrived at the port and were rushed onto the ferry but it did not leave for another 50 minutes. So we arrived late in La Gomera and were told that because of that we could not do the usual stop but would do something else. That something else turned out to be a visit to the least interesting empty food market in San Sebastian and we wasted 20 minutes there. Hearded together like cattle listening to neverending trivia from the guide.

Then once back on the bus we were told that since we were late our lunch would not be at 13:00 but at 13:30.

80-90% the day trip was spent on the bus with no view for more than half of our group :( The stops were either really boring and at very uninteresting places or they were VERY rushed. All the places we would have liked to have spent more free time exploring by ourselves we were rushed back on the bus! Very disapointing.

The luch was not good at all and the service was pretty bad. After the lunch four people in our group felt sick and got very car sick since the roads there after were very winding and the driving was rushed. And it didn't help to be in the back the whole time.

Our guide (an older man) was very talkative and it was amazing that for so many hours on the bus he never stoped talking! He did the most boring trivia in three languages (which he mentioned a lot) and so the whole time he was talking. We were also told to be quiet so other passangers could listen but since it was all the time that meant no talking together on the bus. Very restrictive and awful :( He had a very poor sense of what was interesting to see or hear about.

The whole trip felt like a terrible waste of money and time spent on a hot bus. It was such a shame since we had great weather and visibility and the island is so beautiful.

We do NOT recommend this tour and if we would go again it would be privatly.

Waste of money
Nov 2019 • Friends
Dont bother, spent most of the day travelling through mist on a coach, journey lasted 6 hours on the bus Nothing interesting to see, food in La Rossa restaurant was very basic and we shared with 3 other bus loads. Don't waste your money, there is nothing interesting to see or do, felt sorry for the tour guide trying to sound interesting about the greenery and the rain. Such a dismal experience.

Super nice day trip!
Aug 2019 • Couples
Even though we had to get up real early for this trip, it was very worth it! The island is so beautiful! Your guide was real nice and gave us a ton of information about the island and it's history. The food on the lunch break isn't the greatest, but the restaurant experience so great, because of the whistling language demonstration. Would definitely recommend that trip, even though you have to get up so very early!

Jul 2019 • Couples
We booked this trip with a tour company, which included an 8.20am coach pick up to go five minutes down the road to the port for the ferry. Loaded onto the ferry which didn’t leave for over an hour. The ferry was quick, we saw some dolphins which was lovely, arrived at La Gomera and ushered onto another coach - and then spent the vast majority of the day on the bus!
A few photo opportunity stops before a lunch stop - the lunch wasn’t nice, we went to the bar instead.
This was a whole day trip, but we expected a bit more time to explore at certain stops. But you never know how these things will go until you’re on them.
I would t recommend this trip to anyone, but La Gomera is worth a trip if you did it yourself.

Getaway from crowdy Tenerife
Jul 2018
Tired of people everywhere in Tenerife? Get away to Gomera - the island you can see is just 1,5 hours by ferry (which is fun, btw). Small island with different altitudes and nature, eco products and delicious ice cream on the main square!

Disappointing and stressful
Feb 2019 • Couples
Let down by pick up company last minute. Had previously booked through Viator and reassured many times pick up would be arranged. Last minute let down and tour contacts at Tenerife Sunshine not at all helpful. Lost trust in booking through Viator going forward. Had to organise own transport from Golf Del Sur to Los Cristiano. Trip itself was fine but would be cheaper to organise locally if going to be let down with pick up. No way to make a complaint either as Tenerife Sunshine said it was Viators responsibility to refund and could take time, which we didn't have as leaving next day. Felt very difficult to get anyone take responsibility for not providing the agreed and prepaid service. Stressful and disappointing.

They didn’t pick us up and took our $130
My husband and I came downstairs at our hotel. The operator said he was here at 7:20, and I’m still sitting in the lobby. If he or she came, they certainly did not stop for a moment because every other company that has picked us up made it known that they were here for us and greeted us to make sure we were the right people to pick up. I want my money back. We are leaving to go back home and this was our only day to do this. You owe me $130. I’m pissed!!!

Amazing views, so so guide
Dec 2018
The organizing of the trip was very good, we got picked up from our accomodations in the north and brought back. We met with the guide at the harbour and we took the ship to La Gomera. The bus took us around the island where the views where amazing, and we had a nice lunch together with a demonstration of the local whistling language. The guide was helpful if you asked her for information but during the bus trip, her descriptons of the places we were seeing were not that good (she seemed a little bored)
