Ismael was a great host. He spoke excellent English, knew the winery owners well, and had excellent conversation. The winery experiences were amazing, with great food, ample wine. And great cave cellar tours.

On this tour, we took a 30-35 min bus ride outside the city to the Madrid wine region. We visited three wineries and learned more about Spanish winemaking, including a visit to a wine cave to see historical clay pots that were once used in the winemaking process. The tour was very informative, and overall, the wines we tried were very good, especially given the price. Wine bottles at the wineries we visited ranged from 5-20 euros each, which is a steal given that you can easily spend $50+ for a bottle at California vineyards.

In addition to wine tastings at each winery, there were some snacks (be prepared for lots of ham and cheese!) as well as clean restroom facilities. Our group was around 12-15 people, all hailing from the US, so depending on where you're from, it can be a nice experience to spend some time with fellow Americans and compare notes on attractions to visit while in Madrid.

Everyone was absolutely fantastic. Our tour guide, Ismael, was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable; and the people at each of the wineries were incredibly welcoming. The actual tours were were so interesting - it wasn’t just about wine making in general but about the history of wine making in Spain - and we got to go down into the caves that were used hundreds of years ago (some still used today). A+. Absolutely worth it. Highly recommend.

Ismael was amazing! He took extra steps to make it extra special for the birthday girl in our group of 12. Great spread of food for wine pairing! Great wineries! Super fun tours! Not stuffy, or lots of repeated information at all. Great quantity of tasting too, 2-4 tasting options every stop.

Note: we only visited wineries, did NOT visit any vineyards.

Ismael was a perfect guide. A small group that was enjoyable. We did 3 wineries and discover the wines of spain. Really worth it. Only down side, 6 out of the 9 wines we're red, would have appreciated a little rosé at the end.

Pluses are the guide (Raul), the Licinia winery and the ample size of the tastings and accompanying snacks. Minuses are the very small size of the van that transports you to the wineries and the Jesus winery wines. But for a relatively short introduction to Madrid wines, not a bad tour over all.

This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Madrid. Our guide Ismael was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience fun and enjoyable. As others have said (and Ismael also told us while driving to the first winery) the wine samples are very generous on this tour and you get to try a white and two reds at each winery. There is food at each location and it seemed to be a perfect amount....not too much, but definitely enough to be satisfied. They drive as close to the wineries as possible, but there is some walking and steps within the wineries down to their storage caves. This tour is nice also because it takes about 6 hours rather than some other tours we were looking at that indicated they took 11+ hours. This tour is a must if visiting Madrid.

What was great about this process was again it went into the history of wine in Spain and the region and truly showed vineyards using new and old techniques (and explained them). The snacks were enough so you felt like you could taste the wine and still walk off the bus at the end. If you are not a sommelier or very into knowing your wines, this is excellent. Otherwise you may want to go on the other to the more exclusive wine region run by this group.

Such an amazing experience! I was visiting Madrid with my husband and this was absolutely one of our favorite parts of the trip. The wines were amazing and we bought bottles at each of the wineries. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the wine making processes. Although you mostly ride on the bus, be prepared for some walking and stairs! Each of the wineries also provided us with small foods to try with the wines, we ate a large breakfast just in case but they provide enough food to help you not become drunk. Ismael (sp?) was our guide and was amazing. We would honestly do it again!
