      Toledo in a Day
Comprehensive walking tour of Toledo. Across the centuries, the casca viejo continues to enthrall. The Cathedral, El Grecos, the winding streets. Worth it.

      Great experience.
We truly enjoyed Toledo and our guide was very knowledgeable. It was difficult to understand some of what he was saying because the headsets and the audio system on the bus were distorted. My suggestion (as an audio engineer) is to speak a little further from the microphone and not hold it right up to your mouth. But overall it was a very good experience.

Great tour and guide, Large Group
The trip is a thorough tour of Toledo. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was a very large tour bus with about 40 people or more. But Mario was excellent and knowledgeable and kept us moving nicely.

      Highly recommended while in Madrid
Most recommended . A great guide, Oscar was very informative and took us through the entire history of Toledo really well. Everything was planned well and timed well. You will feel a bit rushed but for I guess that was essential to see the place in an organised manner in a single day.

      Good Tour
The tour was really nice! Only downside is the guide speaks in both English and Spanish and it can be hard to follow. Bus to and from was nice. There were a few breaks for getting food and drinks. Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the sites and led a good tour!

      Wonderful tour of Madrid.
Tour was great. Guide very. Knowledgeable. The tour of the Royal palace was so crowded on Saturday. I would recommend a weekday for a better view of the rooms in the palace.

      Toledo, Spain, in a day
Oscar and Mario took us to the amazing city of Toledo. Oscar’s encyclopedic knowledge of the city and its history made the trip so much more enriching. In particular, his descriptions of 2 of El Greco’s paintings were amazing. The city itself is insane and offers a unique glimpse into history.

      Icing on the cake!
Oscar our tour guide and Mario our driver were top notch! Toledo is the icing on the cake of the Madrid day trips ! Oscar is extremely well versed in the history and did a stellar job on the El Greco- . I would recommend making your lunch reservations beforehand and if it’s winter remember hat and gloves-Toledo is an exquisite city and the tour is a must !

We bought out tickets, woke up early, stood in the long line with very little direction from this company as to where to go to find the bus. Finally a representative showed up and as we were walking to board the bus after waiting in line 30 minutes they approached us and told us we were unable to go because my Dad was bringing a wheelchair. He is able to walk but sometimes get tired. We reminder the representative that the website only says “wheelchair not recommended”, NOT “wheelchair will not be allowed.” He told us that he didnt have anything to do with the website and we could spend our time trying to contact Trip Advisor to get our money back for a non refundable trip. We had paid for taxis to and from the location so we lost that money as well. We asked him to write down his denial to let us board which he also refused to do. It ruined our day. Later that afternoon we received an email from this company that the mistake had been on OUR end and we misunderstood and could show up again tomorrow and try to go then. No apology. And anyone traveling knows you have a tight itinerary and booked tickets and cannot easily show back up and especially for a company that spoke perfect English to tell us plainly that we were not allowed on the bus. This company did not profusely apologize, blamed us for their bad behavior and do not deserve the business. Its a huge crowd, no attendants and uncomfortable setting anyway. After arguing we did receive a refund but not a decent experience.

Dear customer, we believe that you are lying in this speech, we invite everyone who can read clearly in the accessibility section in the tour of tripadvisor "Not wheelchair accessible". We told you that you could come with us perfectly well but that you could not stay on the bus once it stopped. For security reasons the bus remains closed and with no one on board. You did not have to discuss anything with us, you were the one who refused to board when we told you that nobody could stay on the coach. The refund was made after 5 minutes and it was later when we wrote to you, even inviting you to come the next day. If you feel more comfortable with your displeasure. We wish you all the best.

I'll start with the "cons" because I felt there were more cons than pros.

    Cons
    1. The day started with a few hundred people lining up to get on a double decker tour bus. What myself and MANY others did not know is you can't drink or eat on the bus. So instead of sitting on the hour bus ride at 9am with a coffee, we had to just throw them in the trash. Maybe I missed the memo but I also watched dozens of coffee's just get thrown away. Not great.

    2. Our first stop was at a small restaurant where people could use the restroom and now buy a coffee (no takeout, can't bring it back on the bus). This is where we saw our bus driver get visibly upset with one of the guests on the bus and was essentially stomping around mad. We then watched him call the customer a "stupid American" while talking to our two guides. Maybe it's news to him but he probably wouldn't have a job without all the "stupid Americans" going on tours like this. This really soured the day for us.

    3. Our tour guide was nice and knowledgeable, but it was terribly hard to hear them the whole tour. Because our guide was wearing the mic around their neck and not his head, every time he turned his head while talking, he moved away from the mic and we couldn't hear him. It was a constant struggle to piece together sentences due to the volume constantly going in and out. No, it was not a malfunction on my headset or my wife's, it was clearly because of the low quality of the mic and how he was wearing it.

    Pros
    1. The price felt right for the trip. It would have been a pain to try and coordinate getting into both cities, the cathedrals, etc for under $100.

    2. The pace of the trip was right on. The amount of time spent walking with the group, exploring alone, lunch, etc. was great. Never really felt rushed or like we missed something.

    Overall
I was overall happy with the experience but would probably think twice about doing a large tour like this again. We felt very much like the typical "tourist" walking around with such a large group, especially after we heard the bus driver start the day calling someone a stupid American. Not being able to hear the tour clearly due to the guide wearing the mic the way he did was also bummer.

A decent trip and easy way to see a few cities without having to plan it all out. If I were to do it again, I would try and use a trip like this for transportation only and tour around the cities alone.

We are glad to hear that the tour was to your liking and the pace was right. We are sorry for the bad words of the driver and we have opened a liability investigation. We cannot allow these actions. Currently the use of masks due to covid is mandatory in Spain in transport, punishable by heavy fines. That is why drinks or meals are incompatible with the removal of the masks.

Very nice tour of Avila and Segovia. The guide was very knowledgeable about the landmarks we visited. Very courteous and well spoken and a good command of the English language. Bring your comfortable walking shoes as you will exceed 10,000 steps-6 miles. It is definitely worth paying extra to tour the inside of each of the cathedrals, basilicas, and alcazar. I wish there was more free time to explore the shops in both cities. Overall, Good experience and would recommend to anyone.

Diana thank you so much for your comment and for recommending us! We are very happy to hear that you had a great experience during our guided tour to Ávila and Segovia. All our guides are highly qualificated official bilingual guides, so that everyone can understand all the explanations during the tour. We always recommend to bring comfortable shoes, because in order to see the different cities we need to walk. We hope to see you very soon again in another of our tours, best regards! My sister and I booked our full day trip to visit Ávila and Segovia and had an absolutely wonderful time! Our guide (Maria) was a treat! She has wonderful tidbits of history to share, her English was fantastic, and she kept the group moving (while still giving us time to take pictures and enjoy the sights/sites). It’s a long day with a lot to see and she really gave us a lot to see and appreciate.

Built in to the day are bathroom breaks, snacking opportunities, and some down time to wander at the major attractions.

I’d highly recommend this trip for anyone interested in a day of history, sampling some local smaller towns in the Madrid area, or if you are a history lover!

This was our least favorite tour experience of our Spain trip. The company itself was fine and the guides pleasant and knowledgeable. This is a very large group tour. It is a full size double decker bus full of people. They broke us into ‘smaller groups’ but our ‘small group’ was 20+people. The guide was constantly focused on trying not to lose anyone. There were some people who paid for the monument admissions and some didn’t so there was more constant “do we have everyone or not” people counting by the guide who was highly concerned about losing people. They provide a headset to hear the guide. However with over 20 people walking single file down narrow streets if your were near the back of the line the headset lost connection with the guide and you couldn’t hear anything. In Avila the lunch at 1230-115 meant there were nearly no local restaurants open to eat other than the one associated with the tour company. (Most of the well rated restaurants in Avila don’t open until 130).
There was very little free time in Avila or Segovia. We were generally rushing to get back to the bus on time only to then be waiting for other people who were late returning. We have decided that these kinds of large group tours are just not for us. If you are ok with the pros/cons of them then this tour would probably be fine for you.

Dear 4Xpy4, Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your recent tour experience with us. We value your feedback and apologize for any aspects of the tour that fell short of your expectations. We regret that the group size and dynamics impacted your enjoyment of the tour. We understand that larger groups can present challenges in terms of maintaining a cohesive experience, ensuring everyone's needs are met, and allowing for individual exploration. We appreciate your perspective on the trade-offs involved in such tours. We're glad to hear that our guides were knowledgeable and pleasant, and we appreciate your understanding of their efforts to manage a large group effectively. We understand the importance of ensuring that everyone is accounted for, and we apologize if this aspect affected the flow of the tour. Your comments about headset connections, limited free time, and lunch timings are also noted. We strive to strike a balance between providing guided content and allowing guests to explore on their own, as well as providing practical arrangements like lunch times. We'll take your feedback into consideration as we continue to refine our tour offerings. We apologize for any inconvenience you faced and hope that you'll consider exploring other tour options that align more closely with your preferences in the future.

Rafael did an excellent job with this tour he is very knowledgeable regarding the cities history and any area throughout the tour. I also like that he upheld the COVID masks restrictions. He made sure everyone wore a mask while riding on the bus and even provided a couple of masks to individuals when they said they did not have one. First time I have used this tour company and I will definitely try and use them again. Great Job!

A wonderful trip, one I would recommend however, read up on Avila and Segovia before you go if you don't speak Spanish. Avila is a beautiful medieval town surrounded by a magnificent wall. Lunch is a tapas with a drink, the tapas was a small , two bite size piece of bread, a two bite size of sausage and a two bite piece of fried pork skin. You can order more at your own costs we then drove directly to Segovia. It is wonderful! You start out seeing the aquaducts then walk through from one side of the city to the other where you tour the fairytale looking castle.. we do not speak Spanish so it was very frustrating as the tour guide spoke about 75% Spanish and after a while we gave up asking he questions. After doing this tour and the yellow bus tour in Madrid we are not going to take any more tours as they do not speak enough English. We have a Rick Stevens book and did his walking tours and found them really enjoyable and informative. It's a shame as I love doing tours.

The trip was not well organised. The microphone and receiving devices were not organised in advance so 15 minutes were wasted while this was sorted thus the trip through the castle was rushed. The guide in Segovia was good. His English was good. However, in Avila there was one guide for two buses of people and she had to deliver her information in Spanish and English and try to catch up time so very little information in English was given. We spoke to some others who could speak both Spanish and English and they quite clearly said the guide gave more information in Spanish. There were times when the guide only spoke in Spanish. We felt that the tour did not deliver on what it advertised. We made sure the tour was in English when we booked it. Overall disappointing!

Dear Sir, it is true that we separate groups by language, we do it because we want to, but if you read well, the tour is bilingual. However, although we separate the tour of Avila and Segovia by language, that day the guide of Avila informed us of his illness 2 hours before the start of the tour and could not be replaced, which did happen in the city of Segovia where he did the tour in English. However this review does not correspond with 90% of the reviews of the same day. We are sorry for this misunderstanding on your part.

.Great cities to visit. Buses very comfortable. Group size was large but managed well.

We chose Julia tours on the recommendation from our hotel, since visiting both cities are hard to access by train in the same day.

Robert was our very capable tour guide, who provided a bilingual (Spanish/English) tour, going back and forth between both languages. Oliver was our driver who got us where we needed to go safely and securely.

We started our day in Avila, walking the fortress walls of the city and getting the proper historical perspective on our walking tour, along with stops outside the walls for pictures. Lots of information provided.

Segovia was easily reached by bus from Avila, but would have been difficult for us to do on our own relying on public transport.
The aqueduct was very impressive as we started our walking tour. The city is beautiful , along with it's churches, it's cathedral and the picturesque streets and squares. We toured the Alcazar ( castle) with Robert sharing it's historical and
    architectural details .

We did lunch on our own in Segovia (excellent food), based on our guide's suggestion, but it can be included in the tour if that is your preference. Robert was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, personable and kept us on schedule without being overbearing. We would highly recommend this tour.
