Overview

Combine the two top destinations in southern Italy—Pompeii and Naples—on this full-day trip from Rome. Visit all the area’s highlights, including the Naples Royal Palace, the Piazza del Plebiscito, Castel dell’Ovo, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii (admission ticket included), with commentary from your guide. The tour also includes lunch at a local restaurant and all transportation, including convenient pickup and drop-off.

What to Expect
Be ready bright and early for pickup at Rome's Termini Station or from your hotel, depending on the option you've booked. Board your bus and relax while the driver handles navigation.

Upon arrival in Naples, you’ll visit the area’s the top attractions including the fishing district of Santa Lucia, the seaside fort of Castel dell'Ovo, and Naples Royal Palaces. Listen to engaging commentary from your guide about the city's rich history.

Next, enjoy the ride to Pompeii, where you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On the 2-hour guided tour, your guide will paint a picture of what life was like on the day Mt. Vesuvius erupted. View excavated ruins, such as the enormous Teatro Grande.

Back on the coach, relax on the ride back to Rome for evening drop-off.

Not worth the trip

Basically all you are paying for with the company is transportation. You are better off spending $60 euro for a train ticket to Pompeii. The trip to Naples is pointless in my opinion. It was such a beautiful city , I wish we could have...More

The guide forced everyone to get off the bus to the tourist trap spots (cameo shop) and souvenir shop. The sword fish was not fresh at all. Lots of people could not finish the meal. In Pompeii, the local guide spoke 2 languages and couldn't...More
