Itinerary

Depending on the time slot you selected at checkout, your experience begins outside of the Vatican Museums. Access the Vatican through a special entrance with no lines, saving hours of waiting time.

Walk first through the Gallery of Maps and the Gallery of Tapestries, hearing your guide's commentary loud and clear through your personal headset. Snap photos in front of the Pigna statue in the Pinecone Courtyard before you continue to Raphael’s Rooms.

Spend the next part of the tour gazing upward at the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement. After, say farewell to your guide and continue to St. Peter’s Basilica to enjoy the church independently.

Please note that on Wednesdays, due to the weekly Papal Audience, St. Peter’s Basilica may be unavailable. Ensure you select a day other than Wednesday if you’re set on seeing the landmark.

Pros and Cons and Crowds

A definite "must-do" when in Rome, but it is often a frustrating experience. This was our third visit to the Vatican using skip-the-line tour options. This time we tried the Vatican and Sistine Chapel at night option thinking it would be less crowded and cooler....More

Literally amazing!

This ticket was well worth the money. It not only skipped the lines but also gave us an amazing tour guide who could not have made the experience any better. The Vatican museums were very busy and would seem overwhelming to do this alone. Our...More

As a catholic I have deep history and understanding of the Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Our skip the line tour (purchased via TripAdvisor) had a superb guide - an older gentleman whose name I failed to write-down (kudos and thanks to his amazing knowledge)....More

Horrible Experience

This is not a reflection on the actual tour guide company, City Wonders. The guide was very good but the actual tour was a complete disaster. Simply too many people and completely disorganized. It was so crowded that when waling I was not taking steps...More
