The unshakeable sense that I have been scammed
Oct 2021 • Couples
Do not book this cooking lesson. The ownership and running of the course have changed hands and is now not what is advertised. The proprietor only has a rudimentary knowledge of how to make pasta. You do very little other than spectate in what would be bemusement if it was not for the eye-watering price tag. Everything was rushed, disorganised, and the kitchen was dirty. Who puts dough through a pasta machine once? What was served was glutinous ravioli in a watery sauce saved due to the excellent local ingredients. It is indicative that I have not been sent any recipes. What cooking skills would it detail? Anyone who loves cooking will leave with the feeling that they have been hoodwinked by the erroneous claim to authenticity.

Best meal in Italy!
Feb 2020
This was an amazing tour! Chef Elisa was so kind and so passionate about cooking. The ride from Rome to the location was beautiful. It was very interesting to go to the different markets to buy the ingredients. The veal saltimbocca was by far the best we have ever had! This cooking lesson far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun adventure in the countryside of Rome.

Exceeded Expectations
The description was great but the experience was even better. Super well organized. Pickup was on time with our driver Cornelia in a comfortable minibus. A quick drive later and we were meeting our chef Elisa and picking up food and working out our menu. Another quick drive and we were in a beautiful village and in an elegantly designed apartment. Then it was to work prepping and learning all
about Italian food.

Elisa expertly walked us through making 3 pastas by hand with sauces and this amazing fish and shrimp basket with flatbread, lava cakes and more. Excellent wine and company. A highlight of our trip.

We were back before 3pm. Highly recommend for foodies!

Dear Heloise, we're very glad you enjoyed your morning with Elisa and even happier that your expectations were exceeded. Your contribution on TripAdvisor is very much appreciated and helps to spread the word about a very nice activity we're proud to bring to our customers in collaboration with chef Elisa. It's an activity for foodies but also for those willing to know more about Italy's culinary and thus cultural traditions or spend more relaxed moments away from the city center. Absolutely Perfect!
Oct 2019
Chef Elisa was funny, helpful, and a joy to cook with. The meeting location was easy to find, the shuttle to the village was about 45 minutes, the shopping took about 30 minutes and then on to the quaint apartment! The location of the apartment was on the side of a mountain with lovely balconies to sit and enjoy your wine while they organize the kitchen. Then it's time to work....and drink more wine. Everything was explained as we went and we laughed loud and often. Thankfully they emailed us the recipes the next day! After cooking was complete we sat at a great table and ate our delicious meal. This was truly a fun experience we will remember always.

This was an amazing experience. We've done many similar tours and this was the best by far. Chef Elisa is so talented but more importantly so funny, gracious and kind. We would do this again in a heartbeat. She and her staff were just amazing.

Thank you Elisa!

Top Memory of our Time in Italy
Sep 2019
It was a perfect day. I’d absolutely recommend this excursion to anyone who likes to cook, enjoys eating authentic Italian food, or just wants to see and experience somewhere other than the city in Rome. It was just enough of hands on that I felt like a chef for a few hours. However, Elisa made each task seem as simple as can be. You certainly don’t need to be a good cook with her help. Our group was small and by the end we felt like friends.

Unbelievable!!! Our driver from Romania was delightful and fun!! Our chef, Elisa, was great and provided lots of tips and made our cooking come alive. We went into the countryside of Rome and bought the ingredients from the market, then went to cook the meal at a villa and everything was great and fun!! Best time ever!! The best food we had while in Rome was prepared by Chef Elisa, with a little help from my 18 year old grandson and me. We both enjoyed learning to make pasta, and all the dishes on Elisa’s menu. We couldn’t eat all of the food that was served, there was so much, so we brought it home with us. Our driver, Camilla, was so accommodating. She took photos throughout the cooking lesson. (Please remember to send me copies). She’s a great driver, and helped a lot in the kitchen, too! We came home with a certificate, and a surprise gift as well. We highly recommend this tour and cooking class. Oh, did I mention that there was wine flowing throughout? Thank you Elisa and Camilla for a wonderful experience!

Thoroughly recommend!

Wow, what a day! One of our best in Italy. Elisa and Cornelia were so friendly, so accomodating, and so much fun. I loved being able to make Gluten Free Pizza and Pasta, while the others made ‘normal’ Pizza and Pasta - was an amazing experience and super delicious! Can’t recommend this adventure enough. We made new friends and it was my Birthday too and was just perfect! Thank you.

An absolute must!
Apr 2019
Elisa and Cornelia are a wonderful team who work together not only to teach you about Italian cooking but also help give you an appreciation for the Italian lifestyle. From making pizza, pasta, ravioli, to tiramisu, you learn about the Italian pinch and how to blend ingredients to make the kitchen smell amazing. It's so simple, anyone can do it if they really have the desire. The setting for this culinary experience is breathtaking, take your camera. The best part is sitting down with your cooking class and enjoying the freshly prepared food. By the time you leave, you are no longer stranger but connecting through food, the universal language. This is great for mother/daughter interactions. Thanks to Elisa and Cornelia for their patience and desire to help other learn a little appreciation for true Italian cuisine.
