Overview

Cover more of Rome in less time on a hop-on hop-off bus tour, a great way for independent travelers to see the city. Tailor your sightseeing by hopping off at any stop that interests you, including highlights such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Circus Maximus, and Vatican City. While on board the bus, listen to commentary about the sights you pass for crucial context. Choose between the Classic, Premium, or Deluxe ticket to suit your budget and schedule.

What to Expect

Make your way to any one of the stops, voucher in hand, to step on board the bus. When booking, you'll choose a 24- or 48-hour Classic, Premium, or Deluxe ticket, which allows for any vacation itinerary or budget. This comprehensive tour of Rome lets you cover all of the highlights in much less time than a self-guided exploration or combination of other tours would.

Each ticket option includes four guided walking tours, and the Deluxe ticket includes a route past the Catacombs of San Sebastiano. Tours run between 9am and 5pm, and you can start and end at any stop of your choosing. Plan to allow at least 1.5 hours for the full tour, plus more time if you plan on hopping off and exploring individual sights.

On board the bus, slip on the headphones to listen to audio commentary about the stops. Learn about Rome's ancient history and its evolution into a modern, thriving city. The bus' eight stops are centered around highlights such as Vatican City, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Roman forum, the Pantheon, and the Colosseum.

Transportation and that's all

Maybe i expected too much. I thought that the ride would include a narrative to explain what I was seeing, however the staff never said anything, not even to announce what sites could be found at any stop. In addition, the stops were not all...More

Very slow, no cover on the top deck, and no air conditioner on the lower deck. Goes one way in a circle.

Stay away. It's a rip off. Better spent this money on taxi rides. Expensive, hot, slow. Stops are far from apart and from the attractions. We bought 2 day tickets and only used them for one ride. It was quicker and easier to walk. It's...More

Set the oven for 200 and jump inside!

Chose this company as it was well reviewed, big mistake. During August in very warm weather this was grim. It's the only company using open top buses still when all others have put covers over theirs. Apert from the two front seats up top you'll...More

Disappointing, wouldn't use again

We bought the two day hop-on, hop-off which included free entry to the catacombs for our family of Four. Buses had no roof cover or air conditioning (unlike other providers) which meant really hot trips. The driver kept looping some sections of the trip repeatedly...More

We bought the 72 hour ticket which expired 72 hours after we boarded the first bus - yes three days but ours had to be consecutive- sorry that’s not really much help.
