Capuchins Crypt Tour and Concert in Rome
US$39.37
Overview

Combine history and music with this walking tour of the Capuchins Crypt plus a live concert. See a famous painting by Caravaggio and learn about the church’s masterpieces from an art historian guide. Walk through the crypt before sitting back to enjoy a concert in the church. The group size is limited to 30 people.

What to Expect

Meet your art historian guide at the box office of the Capuchins Museum.

In a group limited to 30, your guide leads the way through the Capuchins Museum, home to a famous painting by Caravaggio. A walk through the crypt reveals the decoration of over 4,000 bones of Capuchin friars.

The tour continues in the church, where masterpieces by artists like Guido Reni are on display. After the tour with an art historian guide, the second part of this experience is a concert in the church.

After hearing an introduction to the musical program in English, listen to a concert including Gregorian chants and sacred songs of Baroque Rome.

The experience concludes after the concert.

Music and tour is expensive, but enjoyable.

The museum is small, and the crypt tour is very short. But the church is beautiful, and the subject matter of the tour is rather engaging. The vocal performance was excellent and really made the experience.

"Better than the Vatican tour" said my wife...

We loved this, it was one of the highlights of our experience in Italy. The singing is absolute precision and transported us to a very high place.

the tour thru the museum and crypt was curated, so you didn't linger long at each place. it took about 30-45 minutes. the concert was about an hour.
