Sistine Chapel Early Access, Vatican Museums, and St. Peter’s Tour in Rome

Overview
About 25,000 visitors pass through Rome’s Sistine Chapel daily, so it’s usually packed with people. This early-access small-group tour lets you inside before the general public, giving you head start on the crowds. Enter via a dedicated doorway, tour the best of the Vatican Museums without any long waits and with a guide to provide vital context and background, and finish with a walk inside St. Peter’s Basilica.
What to Expect
Meet your guide early at the Vatican Museums and head inside before the general public. Then, set off to see the Sistine Chapel and the museums, filled with artworks collected by popes and cardinals down the centuries.

After an introduction from your guide, enter the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo’s frescoes. Admire the magnificent paintings including the Last Judgment—considered one of the greatest artworks ever created—in a significantly quieter atmosphere than later in the day.

Accompanied by your guide, explore the museums to see the best of their treasures. Marvel at the frescoes of the Raphael Rooms, see classical statues, and admire other highlights such as the Hall of the Maps.

Finally, enjoy direct entry into St. Peter’s Basilica. Absorb the Renaissance grandeur of the church and view Michelangelo’s Pieta and Bernini’s sculpted bronze altar canopy (baldachin).

Your tour concludes in St. Peter’s Square.
