Italy and Switzerland in One Day: Lake Como and Lugano from Milan
From US$120.08
Two lakes and countries are better than one. Visit Como in Italy and Lugano in Switzerland to see two of Europe’s most picturesque lakes on this day trip from Milan. Cruise Lake Como, and spend time exploring pretty lakeside towns on either side of the Swiss-Italian border. Travel by bus and ferry along the way instead of stressing about driving.
What to Expect
Your morning starts with pickup from central Milan by air-conditioned coach. After the drive to Como, the bus drops you off at the waterfront where you board a boat for a lake cruise. Take advantage of the two hours spent cruising the water by snapping photos of glamorous villas.

Your guide tells you about the history of famous villas and the Como area.

Return to land for lunch (own expense) and free time in Bellagio, a pretty waterfront town of stone staircases and cobbled lanes also known as “the pearl of Lake Como.” Afterward, hop back on the coach for the roughly 40-minute journey across the Swiss border to Lugano, a picturesque small city on the northern shore of a glacial lake.

Explore Lugano independently: browse Swiss chocolate and luxury goods shops, walk along the waterfront, or visit religious sites like the Chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angioli.

Take the roughly 1.5-hour journey back to Milan, and get dropped off at the original departure point in the late afternoon.

Beautiful Day

I absolutely loved this tour, I would have never made it all the way to Switzerland by myself and the tour was perfectly organized, leaving enough free time in all destinations. Loved the boat cruise on the Como Lake too!
