Arriving at the vineyard was for me like Charlie getting the golden ticket for Wonka's chocolate factory- I've wanted to do a visit like this for years . I smiled the whole time-the scenery was jaw dropping, the tour was enjoyable from beginning to end, the passion of the hosts was built into everything and the wine was just delicious. Our fellow guests seemed to enjoy themselves too, if the queue to buy wine and oil at the end of the visit was anything to go by- worth noting there was zero pressure to buy anything. I'd happily go again tomorrow?

This experience exceeded all our expectations, above and beyond! From the moment we were picked up to the very end, Filippo provided us with a very special wine tour and the stories and information about the wines and of course the taste of the wine and the food pairings proved to be just wonderful. I would highly recommend Valpolicella to anybody with an appreciation for good taste and anybody looking to enjoy a unique, cultural and quality experience in Italy. Lastly I would recommend to plan your transport carefully in advance to make it as easy as possible getting there

We paid 20 euros extra per person for a private guided tour. Absolutely fantastic landscape, vineyard and lots of knowledge and information about wine production. Would definitely recommend the trip to others who are in the area. We ended up buying 18 bottles of wine to enjoy in Norway.
We will be back!

We had a lovely time at this wine tour. Location is really fantastic, what a picturesque place to have a wine tasting!
Staff were very helpful, both in organising transport to the vineyard and during the tasting/tour.
The wines themselves were tasty, although I would have maybe expected one or two more wines (we were given 3). However, this was served with lovely cheese, bread and meats which did make it better.
One minor criticism, we felt the ending of the tasting wasn’t well articulated and we were unsure what was going on and what was to happen next. As such, the bus driver arrived before we had time to buy any wine to take home!
However, we had a lovely time and would recommend to others in the future.

The visit to Tenuta Santa Marta Valverde vineyard was the best part of our trip to Verona. The vine from this boutique vinery was first class and it is the best tour of a vineyard I’ve been on and I’ve been on several! The family business was very welcoming and proud of their heritage, 6 generations in this particular vineyard!
The combined food and wine were amazing, as was the service. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience, 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone!!!
Thank you Tenuta Santa Marta Valverde!! We even had a mini tour of Verona as part of the journey to the vineyard so extra bonus!!

Had a great time, needed this in Italy where things feel more personal and he guy who owns the place is 6th generation wine maker and super cool. He picked us up and drove us to his winery and showed us all the views and gave some cool facts of the region and wine making.
There was another couple with us on the tour, they sat us apart which was kind of a missed opportunity for young people to all get to know each other while drinking wine. Also maybe they want to give us a wine sample before the tour starts in the future because that would have made the long tour hilarious ;)
Other than that, this is a highly recommended experience, had so much fun and went home with new knowledge and great wine!

Words cannot properly express how thankful I am to the owners of Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde for letting us visit their home. I just had engaged to my girlfriend two days before we visited the vineyard and it was a great fit for our special moment.
Our heart felt thank you for sharing about their outstanding dedication to winery over generations, it's truly inspiring and a great example to us. I cannot thank you enough to the team of Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde for allowing us to see in person the tremendous love, care and craftsmanship they put on their work.
It was our most genuine italian experience during our trip and we will treasure it in remembrance!

Lovely experience, fantastic wine and beautiful scenery. Really nice tour with good history and descriptions of how they make the wine. Only thing I would mention is that the the the additional info says it's a private tour where only my group would participate but it was with a larger group with 12 other people. Also the transport back was an hour late so but thats not the tour operators fault so I still give them 5 stars for the nice experience at a really good price.

Thanks for giving us top marks! Regarding groups, we keep the number of participants low to ensure authenticity of the experiences, but sometimes the demand is too high and we create a waiting list. We will work to improve this soon!

A friend and I took part in this wine tour to get to know some of the typical wines of the region during our stay in Verona - and we were not disappointed! The venue was easily reached thanks to the detailed description of the bus itinerary from Verona + personal pick-up from the bus station by the vineyard staff. The tour itself was splendid. First, we learned a lot about the characteristics of the wine and the traditional cultivation on a walk through the vineyard, which was very interesting. Also the view was lovely from up here! Then we got to peek into the wine cellar and finally had our tasting in the super cozy bar room. The wines were very tasty and served with yummy regional cheese, sausage and sweets, which fit well in each case. Amounts were also definitely not too sparse and we left feeling very happy after 3 glasses - with a bottle of our own as perfect gift for the family at home.
We definitely recommend this tour! Well organized and super friendly people, who took time to answer all our questions. And if you´re lucky, a lovely little dog who loves belly rubs ;)

The wine tour was outstanding. It was obvious that they are experts and passionate about their wines, processes, history. And, in fact, the wine was delicious and being paired with local sausages, cheese and their own olive oil made it really special. The location is beautiful and easily reached by local bus from Verona (to San Floriano where they pick you up). Responses to questions via email were fast. It was a really exceptional experience and highly recommended. We've been on many wine tours before in Italy and Oregon (where we are from), and this was the best one we have been on.

Are children allowed on the tour?
Hello, I need to clarify my question. Can a minimum of two people come on the tour? It would just be myself and my nine year old.

Hi! Once you book, the vineyard will ask where you are coming from. We joined from Venezia and they provided very easy train and bus instructions to a location where they picked us up to get us to the vineyard. They then returned us to the location where they picked us up for the return trip. If you’re traveling by car, I’m sure they will also provide instructions.
Enjoy!
