There's a reason this is the number one thing to do in Palermo; it's terrific. It's a beautiful old house, built atop the old city walls, filled with beautiful and interesting knick knacks. Best of all, the tour is led by a member of the Federico family, giving it a far more personal touch than most.

So much fun! Love the personal details and touches in the tour, given by Nicolo, one of the family sons. We even got to meet his cats 😆.

Beautiful palazzo with so many layers of history that the family has carried on; maybe they’ll invite me back one day for an aperitif on the top floor dining room! 😍😉

We felt really honoured to see such an historic and yet personal family home. The experience made so much more by the fact that the tour was conducted by a family member.

A great chance to see inside one of Palermo’s historic palazzos. The one hour tour, led by a member of the family which has lived in this incredible place for 16 generations. The tour is excellent, the house, the furniture and the personal effects combine to give one a good view of the life and history of this exceptional city.

Great Place! You need to prepare a bit, as this is a guided tour with only few visits per day. But not only you discover a great place, but you get the feeling to get an exclusive insight into the history of an famous Sicilian family.

Visiting this palazzo was a very unique and pleasant experience for us. It's more interesting than any other tourist attraction in Palermo. You can feel living at the moment in the palace as the son unfolds the story of his family and shows different parts of the palace.
The tour took one hour, in English and also in Italian.

This is an extraordinary place. Same (wealthy) family living here for 17 or 18 generations. Got some golf clubs and baseball bats in a corner of your basement? They have a whole weapons room, with swords of all types, small cannons, and more. And there are kitchens, a ballroom, bedrooms, etc. Our guide was a pleasant family member who did a great job. Don't miss this place. Note that it is a bit of a challenge for those who don't not walk easily, but most people should manage the tour without difficulty.
