Chianti Semi-Private Cooking Class at a Tuscan Villa starting at 9am

Overview
The Chianti wine region produces the finest wines in Tuscany, as well as being one of the best places to sample authentic Tuscan cuisine. With this small-group tour, you’ll get to immerse yourself in the local gastronomy—shop for ingredients at Florence Central Market, take part in an expert-led cooking class, and learn about local winemaking traditions, then enjoy a delicious 4-course lunch paired with a selection of regional wines.
What to Expect
Meet your guide in Florence and head straight to the Central Market to purchase ingredients and sample some local delicacies. After stocking up on fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs, transfer to your cooking class venue, a historic villa set amid the vineyards and olive groves of Tuscany’s Chianti wine region.

On arrival, set to work cooking traditional Tuscan dishes such as ravioli gnudi with fresh hand-made pasta, and pick up plenty of tips from your expert instructor, Chef Giovanni. Before you eat, enjoy a fascinating introduction to Chianti wine and discover the winemaking process, the different varietals, and how to match wines with various Tuscan dishes.

Finally, sit down to enjoy a delicious 4-course homemade meal, paired with a selection of three different Chianti wines—typically a Chianti reserve, a Chianti Classico and a Tuscan dessert wine—and an indulgent dessert like strawberry tiramisu.

After lunch, you will be taken back to Florence.
