- Michelle M00Best view at the top!It was nice to have a guided tour to explain the outside features and history. It’s definitely worth the climb to get great views of Florence once outside on terrace. Smaller group and less crowded.
- Expedition76562400Wonderful Lunch and Cooking ClassWe loved this cooking class! It was my family of four (husband, adult daughter, teen son and myself). We took an informative tour of the market, bought some amazing cheese and balsamic vinegar and olive oil. We headed back to the kitchen to start our lesson! We learned how to make a traditional ragu and pumpkin raviolis. This was a highlight of our trip and we would recommend this to anyone who is spending time in Florence. The chef was great!
- Beth D00Great Tour!Wonderful tour! Fabio was so knowledgeable, patient and kind. We learned a lot and will cherish our memories of this tour and highly recommend it to others.
- tjcnt00Great introduction to FlorenceGreat tour by Fabio. Easy ride past points of interest. With a coffee break along the way. Fabio has great knowledge of Florence and gave suggestions of what to see and do as well as places to eat, where to get the best gelato and even where to buy leather. Great way to get your bearings if you do early in your visit to Florence.
- chrisbM8900JU00Must Do!The BEST cooking class that I have ever taken! Food was easy to make and tasted delicious! Would definitely take another class of Frederico and Roberta
- Suzette G00Totally FUN!John and Roberta were very knowledgeable and made the class so fun! We had 2 children- 4 and 7 - that were well entertained and were so proud of their accomplishments!
- LiviW00Great tour guide with lots of knowledge. We recommend this tour 100%Amazing experience! the views from the top of the Duomo were amazing and more enjoyable getting to know the history and story behind this amazing building.
- Curiosity6349124470100Great time!Federico was funny, engaging and informative. We had the best time discovering some treasures of the market and being hands on with making the pastas and dessert. Loved it!
- TVBelle00Perfect morning and lunch activity!Excellent class! Chef Frederico gave great tips and was very entertaining. The market walk and testing was a great way to start and we learned a great deal about the history of the ingredients we used in our class. The class was some demonstration and some doing it ourselves. It’s not all DIY. The pace was great and we felt involved the whole time. Having a little break midway for bruschetta and Chianti was so smart and the final plates were delicious. We did this as a family of four with adult sons in their early 20’s. Everyone loved it.
- MJ7465600Vatican City, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica TourWhat a fantastic tour. The pace was perfect, our tour guide, Simona, was lovely; very organised, calm, very knowledgeable, her pace was perfect and she really explained everything in a way that kept you engaged and interested. The time flew by! Thank you. Highly recommended.
- bayareagirl6600A highlight of our trip!My husband and I were so glad we booked this market tour and cooking class. The market was a lot of fun. We got to sample ham, pear mustard and several cheeses. We spent a few minutes purchasing some delicious items to bring home before heading back to cook. Chef Roberta was wonderful, she gave very clear instructions and was funny. We made pumpkin ravioli, tagliatelle, and tiramisu. We were happy and full after the class. She sent us the recipes via email and we can’t wait to recreate them at home. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys cooking , or eating delicious Italian food. 😁
- maddeemcmanness00A true couples olive oil and wine treat! This tour was the highlight of our time in Florence. We loved seeing all the Vinyards and olive trees. Plus the wine and oils were absolutely delicious. Plus the lunch at the last stop was so tasty and such a nice way to finish the tour. Our tour guide was so kind and knowledgeable as well and really taught us so much.
- peggyt92200Great pasta making class! Our family group had a marvelous experience and would highly recommend this class! Chef Jon was very knowledgeable, personable and made sure that everyone in the class had a positive experience!
- I1509SXhannaha00Delicioso!Take this class! My husband and I had a wonderful time. Stefano was a great chef. The food was delicious. We also had a fun time exploring the market and learning about Florentine culture through food.
- SueG55000Fun and Delicious in FlorenceIt was so much fun. Federico was the best, finding a diamond engagement ring was a plus, and the pizza was very delicious. The location was convenient, the staff was friendly and accommodating for my group and they loved it. I will definitely be there when I have another group going to Italy. Thank you.

Description was a bit unclear on how the tour would go. The first 4 hours included Vespa driving and sight-seeing with seeing some wineries, but did not include any drinking or purchasing of wine. The last couple hours included wine tasting and the dinner. We did not get to ride the Vespa apparently due to the drive test. We felt that our driving skills were on par with several others in the group, and felt that there may have been a slight bias towards the Asian women in the group. We did not receive any discount or refund for our “Vespa rental” fee that was included from this booking, and feel that we missed out on the core part of the experience which made it feel a bit lacking. Otherwise, our tour guides were overall amazing and we did still have a great time seeing amazing views and learning about Tuscan wines.

FLORENCETOWN
Dear Guest,
Thank you for your precious feedback, which we value very much. I am truly sorry to hear that the tour didn't fully meet your expectations.
Before the tour starting, we offer a small training and driving test, in order to check if all our guests are able to deal with the Vespa riding part of the tour. We don't teach people how to ride, though. We teach our guests how to use that specific model of Vespa, and we make sure they are steady and able to drive that kind of scooter.
Our two escorts are responsible of safety of our guests, so it is normal that they have to feel 100%. No decision is made out of any other reason than safety.
For the same reason we are absolutely not allowed to have guests tasting wine if they have to drive, and this is the reason why the wine tasting part is made after the vespa ride.
Regarding the insurance fee you have mentioned, it has been refunded, as per procedure, the same day. Please check with your bank and contact us back in case you don't see the refunded amount on your account, so that we can double-check.
Hope we'll have the chance, in the future, to have you again on one of our experiences, and change your mind about the quality of our services.
In the meantime we remain at your disposal.
Kindest regards,
Laura Cimino

I can't speak more highly of this tour. After meeting the tour group at their downtown Florence office location, you're bussed outside the city to a location where they show you how to ride the Vespa, let you practice in the parking lot, and ultimately determine if you can ride on your own or follow in a shuttle.
Afterwards, you spend a couple hours riding the Vespas through the Tuscan countryside. There are a couple stops to see some landmarks, take photos, and learn about the history of the region. The entire ride is picturesque and a lot of fun.
Once the Vespa part of the tour is over, you ride them back to the original location and then they bus you to two wineries for tastings and a tour of the facility. The second one provides lunch as well.
The guides were friendly, helpful, and patient.
This tour is a must-do if you find yourself in Florence.

We had never driven a Vespa and naturally had anxiety about it . First off the tour drives you to the countryside where you have an area to learn how to drive the Vespa rather than other tours where you learn and drive from the city which is more dangerous . The instructors were patient and careful allowing the time to learn and simplified instructions . Once on the road the instructors were always watching and guiding us with one in front and one in back and the back driver would many times drive up to help block intersections for us to cross together safely . Ultimately we had an amazing yet safe time ! Our stops at amazing view points and two vineyard / oil producers was educational and had yummy tasting . Would definitely recommend ! By the way they have two size Vespa options which also allow for better control for some . This tour was a highlight of our trip

Chris was a very good tour leader driving ahead of us and leading us around. Very good safety standards ensuring we were all capable of riding the vespas on our test drive before leaving the garage area. There were about 4 or 5 from our group of 24 that did not show this capability and ended up riding in the small fiat 500 sized cars (not sure of the actual models). We were split into 2 groups of 12 for the ride. Chris was always checking with us at each of the 4 stops before lunch including the Michelangelo Piazza for a beautiful view of the city. Chris often blocked off roadways to ensure we all crossed safely. Lunch was a 2 course meal. 1st course was a rotini pasta and sauce. Then a bruschetta and meat / cheese charcuterie board. A small taste of very nice red wine to drivers and a glass of wine for the riders. Our group of 12 had 4 single riders and 4 double riders. Review the options when booking. Be prepared for changes in weather with layered clothing. Each vespa has seat storage for a small bag. Road our vespas for about 13-14 km according to our odometer. Our bus ride was about 15 minutes to and from the garage. 25-30 minutes testing period for every one and off on our tour. Fantastic tour of the Tuscan countryside.

This was by far my favorite thing I did in Florence (and likely in all of my Italy trip). Riding around in vespas was so much fun. Although it took a little practice to become comfortable and definitely requires some coordination skills. The first winery we went to [Diadema] was okay, felt a bit rushed, only gave us two wines to taste and some olive oil and expected us to purchase something, we learned about the cellar and olive oil making process from our Vespa tour guide (not the winery owners) which seemed odd. The second winery [Bartolini Baldelli] WAS MUCH BETTER, we got a nice tour of the cellars, we had a nice wine and lunch pairing and Giovanna entertained us with stories and let us try her grappa. Honestly I would recommend cutting out Diadema and including some other winery on this tour. OVERALL the vespa part was the best and I wish we had more time to ride around, vs squeezing in two wineries.

AMAZING! Do not miss this tour! I was on a trip with my children and so glad we chose to do this tour. The Florencetown team was fantastic....they will not let you drive if you are not comfortable. I chose to ride with Carlotta one of the instructors and was really able to enjoy the scenery without the stress of driving. The Vespa ride is about 40 km so not a short ride. They do bus you out of the city of Florence to a practice site equipped with sanitized helmets and qualified instructors. The vespa ride is to a small little village where a delicious, huge sandwich is awaiting you. You are able to walk around for about 30 minutes, grab a coffee and do a bit of shopping before heading back to the practice site. From there it is a short walk to a beautiful winery resort and lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and one of the highlights of our trip to Italy!

We loved this tour and had a great day out with a great group of people. We met in central Florence at the Florence Town offices and we’re all taken by minibus to our destination in the Chianti region. There everyone had a quick test ride on the vespas to ensure everyone was capable to handle the bikes - the experience of people varied from those who had ridden before to those who had never gotten on a scooter before and the team did an excellent job in instructing everyone then we set off.
We stopped after maybe 30 minutes at a small town for a light snack (pepperoni rolls) and had some free time to look around the town shops before we set off again and arrived at a beautiful church for some pictures of the Tuscan hills then to our final destination of a lovely small winery - this winery had originally been owned by the Machiavelli family and the current family has owned it over the generations for 300 years so it had quite the history.
The wines we tasted were all delicious and very well priced - we ended up buying 4 bottles of wine and some of the others bought cold bottles to enjoy on the minibus ride back to town. I highly recommend this tour to everyone, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We unfortunately couldn’t ride the vespas due to the roads being slick. We ended up doing the tour via van with a small group. The staff was very friendly and even added an extra stop to make up for not being able to ride the vespas. The stops were really nice, filled with a lot of history and delicious wine!
My only recommendation is that you check the weather 24-36 hours prior to the reservation date because if the roads are too wet, they will let you choose one of the three options: 1) rebook for another date/time, 2) receive a voucher that is good for one calendar year, or 3) go on the tour via van. With us being from the US and our itinerary planned out in advance… we were obligated to do the tour via van. I wish they could fully refund you if the weather conditions aren’t favorable for vespas, but we still had a great time and appreciated the extra stop!

This Vespa tour was our favorite part of our Italy trip! We stayed in Rome and took a day trip to Florence for this experience and it was worth every penny and more! It was so nice to get out of the city for some beautiful views and fresh air. I'm glad we booked a shared Vespa because it was not my forte so my husband was able to drive the two of us while I enjoyed the views. Hehe! Lunch at the vineyard was wonderful as well as the wine tasting. We can't wait to receive the wine and olive oil we ordered!
I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who feels confident on a Vespa and is looking for an escape from the city with great views, delicious food, and an all around fantastic experience!

Everything was amazing from beginning to end, people were so friendly, the tour guys were amazing❤️ It was so hot because Italy is having an extreme heat wave, but the tour guides did all they could to make our visit enjoyable. Amazing scenery during a 90 min vespa ride. We headed to 2 wineries with a very nice light dinner at the end. You take a 30 minute bus ride from Florence to the Vespas, it was OK I just didn’t realize we don’t head out of the city, probably best as some people struggled getting used to the Vespa - But once again the tour guides were amazing, they just put those people on the back of their bikes and made them feel very comfortable.

Is the Vespa an automatic?

Yes. Automatic. Very easy to drive. They test you first for competency. The trick is to not go too slow so that you don’t fall over. People that struggle don’t go fast enough.

If we choose the option for two passengers on one Vespa, will we be allowed to switch off who is driving and who is the passenger throughout the trip? Or does the same driver have to remain driving for the entire time? Neither of us have ever driven a Vespa before but we feel it shouldn’t be a problem to learn… but if you think there is a chance we would be denied the Vespa (if it’s harder to drive with an extra passenger for example) can you let us know?

I would imagine they’d be okay with two drivers who passed the test riding in tandem and switching between legs, but I can’t say for sure. People in our group who couldn’t pass the test rode tandem with their partners or with the tour guides, the van wasn’t used, and everyone rode on a scooter.
