Escape the hustle and bustle of the Dutch capital on a day trip to Giethoorn and IJsselmeer. Wander through the car-free village of Giethoorn, admire its gardens and farmhouses on a cruise of its canals, and benefit from your guide’s insights and recommendations for free time. Visit an enclosing dike to enjoy fresh air and lake views (seasonal). Travel the distance easily with round-trip transport from central Amsterdam.
What to Expect

Meet your group at a central location in Amsterdam and board your transportation, before setting off to discover the traditional Dutch village of Giethoorn.

On arrival, park up and walk through the car-free village to its canal-bank, where you board your vessel for a cruise of the waterways. As you glide, notice the village’s picturesque farmhouses, thatched roofs, and gardens.

Disembark and enjoy free time to further explore Giethoorn’s trails and paths, or ask your guide for recommendations for lunch (own expense).

Regroup for a visit to IJsselmeer (seasonal) to see the enclosing dam Afsluitdijk, admire the body of water and and learn more about the feat of engineering.

Your tour concludes at the departure point. When the tour ends, receive a complimentary canal cruise ticket to be used in Amsterdam during your stay.
