Nice trip along the cliffs around Lagos
The trip was nice, our guide was friendly and we enjoyed the trip. Compared to a similar trip we did at the Benagil cave and its surounding, it was not as exciting, but still good. If you do only one of these, we'd recommend Benagil.

This ride was fun, entertaining and filled with interesting information. Both Cesar and Stefan were very funny. They explained three natural phenomena, Portugese history and took great pictures for me

You def want to do this trip!
This was the perfect trip to see the incredible coastline. Our captain and first mate were top notch. Even with some rough waves, our captain was able to get inside some of the rock formations. Perfect trip! Exactly what we wanted and so much more. A MUST do in Lagos.

      Perfect Two-hour boat trip
Such a great day on the water with George! This was a perfect two-hour boat excursion. George was a wealth of information and having the boat to ourselves was a bonus. Blue Fleet was very professional from beginning to end. Thank you George!

      Must do when visiting Lagos
Recommended by a friend who had been to Portugal and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Lagos. You cannot appreciate the beauty of the coastline unless you see it from the water. Bluefleet is top notch. Our boat driver did an amazing job navigating the boat. Highly recommend!

      Fab short trip for family
We took the short boat trip, and it was perfect for our 8 and 6 year old. The tour guides Marta and Bruno were informative but entertaining for us and the kids. Despite the weather being a bit poor and the sea being quite choppy we were able to visit lots of caves along the coastline.

Nice trip down the coast to see the sights
Great little trip. Picked as the weather was a little cloudy on the last day of our week away and I wanted to keep my 10, 13 and 15 year old entertained. Boat was clean, not too packed and staff were friendly, it was a very nice trip down the coast with info on the various caves and coastline. It does stop for swimming but we didn’t go in as it wasn’t great weather however we enjoyed bobbing around on the water with a nice taster cup of port. I would recommend and probably do the 1/2 day with lunch if we were to go again.

Beautiful, professional tour of the caves
Blue fleet did a nice job touring the caves at Ponta da Piedade. The boat was clean, seaworthy and professionally staffed with an expert skipper and narrator who provided history of the area. All wore life vests but the kind that inflate only if you enter the water. The water surrounding the caves was not rough even though the wind was strong. The boat was small enough to fit in most of the caves and the scenery was great. Well worth the effort

      Very nice Grotto tour
We had an incredible experience on the Grotto Tour with Bluefleet! The two skippers were friendly and kept us entertained throughout. What really stood out was how skillfully the captain navigated the boat through the caves, even the smaller ones. It was impressive to see how precisely he maneuvered in tight spaces, making sure we had the best views while keeping everything safe and smooth. The boat also wasn’t as crowded as others we saw, which made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour!

Spectacular boat trip to Ponta da Piedade
The boat ride to Ponta da Piedade was amazing and the sights were spectacular! The boat Captain (Eiu?) and mate/guide, Luiz were fantastic. The swells were too high to go into all the grottos but they were able to expertly guide us close enough to see the fossils and bird nests in one cave. Their geologic knowledge of the rocks, history of the area and stories made the trip enjoyable. It was fun being with people speaking multiple languages.

We are family of 5 with children aged 4 and 10. The staff were very accommodating and couldn’t have been better in many ways!!

We went first on a morning trip at 09:30. Wow!! We saw literally hundreds of Dolphins, at one point we had around 15 dolphins swimming with the boat. It was just magical. The guides knew exactly where to go and were knowledgable and gave us a really good experience.

It was that good we went and booked again for another day!

The next time we went for the trip at 11:30, unfortunately the weather conditions weren’t as good as it was very windy. Upon starting the trip , the guides managed our expectations around the rough sea and also that there was no sightings on the morning trip that day on the 9.30 trip. However due to this, Blue Fleet sent out 3 boats at 11:30 all in radio communication to increase our chances of a sighting.

The seas were very rough, and I would advise for anyone going to take a water proof jacket as you get very wet in these conditions. But they found the dolphins.
How I don’t know, like a needle in a haystack!! But they found a pod of around 20 dolphins who then swam the boat once again.

It was such a great experience and I couldn’t recommend Blue Fleet and their staff enough

I just came back from a dolphin watching trip with Bluefleet. It was a great experience from start to finish. Their office is conviniently located inside the Lagos train station. The first date was cancelled due to not so good weather, which shows that they take safety seriously. I got a message on my phone together with a suggestion for another date. This time the weather was perfect. We started at around 11:30am, and after a slow ride outside the marina and the river, the boat got up to speed once we reached the ocean. This boatride alone is worth the money, as it is a thrilling experience. After a while we spotted many dolphins of different kinds. The crew was very friendly and highly knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. I never had the feeling that we had to rush due to time limits. It is hard to explain what it feels like to be so close to these incredible creatures. On the way back we even spotted a sea turtle and the crew made sure that we got a good look of the coastline and Ponta da Piedade, an added bonus. All in all, I can highly recommend this trip with Bluefleet.

We initially went on a trip 18th March where unfortunately we didn't see any Dolphins, despite the tenacious efforts of the crew. Extremely kindly Blue Fleet proposed a second trip at no extra cost, which we took the day after. This time we saw a large number of common dolphins close up and then after we left the common dolphins we saw a pod of playful bottlenose dolphins, also very close up. On both trips the crews were extremely professional, courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable, and we really appreciated the gesture to allow the second trip

Awesome tour. We booked last min and could only get onto the afternoon tour. I read that chances of seeing the dolphins was best in the morning so didn’t have much hope. The guide also play down the chances by saying the nature is the boss! But there was a lot of dolphins, about ten of them that did a lot of stunt for us like diving, jumping, side twist, so we are delighted. These are bottle nose dolphins. Apparently they are not as social as common dolphins. The wave was quite strong and the boat trip itself was choppy and thrilling. Seeing so many dolphins was icing on the cake! Good value for money.

Wonderful informative experience with Katerina and the skipper. We got a great view of a pod of dolphins and their baby and really interesting information about them from Katerina….. the boat was well equipped and modern and we felt very safe. This is the best company for these type of trips and their meeting point within the train station is relaxing and convenient just away from the chaos of the marina…. We’d definitely recommend this trip!

Thanks, Ceasar and Inga for a wonderful tour on the catamaran! We saw, close-up, beautiful cliffs, grottos and beaches. I don't want to forget how you gave us all a choice between swimming off the boat or seeing dolphins. The entire group said dolphins. You think the dolphins were a part of a rehearsed act because they were so many sightings. At times they were jumping out of the water.

The tour is not something I will forget!

Hello, Thank you for your kind words and 5 star evaluation. John, our marine biologist and our Captain were so very welcoming and genuinely did their best to ensure we got as up close and personal with pods of the common dolphins and they even found a small pod of bottlenose dolphins. There was a baby and mother in this pod, it was a wonderful sight to see them leap and dive together. The trip was super informative as John told us all about the dolphin lifestyle and answered our questions. I would highly recommend this trip, the boat was fab, the length of time perfect and the crew seemed to enjoy taking us all out as much as we enjoyed the experience. It was a thumbs up from my whole family.

Excellent day out on the water with 2 wonderful guides. They were determined that we should see dolphins and we did. They covered a great amount of territory to find them, but were successful — we observed a pod of ~30 dolphins swimming and performing playfully ~12 kms off the coast. It was so much fun! The ride is a bit rough, but so worth it when you see the dolphins.

Contact with Buefleet via email went very well. Good advice and quick response.
Due to the weather forecast (stronger wind), my question was when would be best to do the dolphin trip, after which advice quickly followed and we made a successful trip with driver John and storyteller John ☺️.

We gathered in the neat little station of Lagos (with a free large parking lot next to it). There is the office where you can register, after which you can walk to the harbor with your group and the two supervisors in a few minutes. You get a life jacket and go on the boat.

You sit on a kind of speedboat with seats that you sit on like a saddle. Since we might have to sail a bit (20 minutes), the boat picked up speed a bit, which was fun. The two girls in the front caught all the wind and were a bit chilly, but luckily they were well wrapped up.

After 10 minutes we saw a group of dolphins who were catching fish very relaxed: very cool and they came close to the boat!
After a while we moved on and saw some dark shark fins!

We looked again for dolphins and turtles, but alas. On the way back we got another tour of the cliffs, which was also great fun! Then back to the port at almost full speed!

Bluefeet is highly recommended: quick contact and good guidance. Small group. They treat the animals very respectfully: keep their distance and turn off the engine.

And the supervisors indicated that they really manage to find the dolphins every day!

My boyfriend and I went out for a 9:30am dolphin watching trip and it was amazing. The staff were friendly, charismatic, and knowledgeable about the area and the animals. just when I thought we would only be getting a fun boat ride, the dolphins made their appearance. It was breath taking watching them dance around our boat to play with the propeller and in the waves behind the boat. They came close to the front and sides of the boat so everyone got a great view. Even though their we other boats in the area watching, the dolphins didn’t interact with them they way they did with ours. To finish it of, we cruised along the coast home and stopped in a cave. I can’t recommend the tour enough.
