We chose this tour as it was a little less expensive than most of the others but don't let that put you off. Anna, our guide, was superb. There were 13 of us and she took us to 6 places that you would normally have walked past without a second glance. The food and the wine was delicious and gave us a real taste of the traditional Portugal. I would highly recommend this tour and as it was only 3 hours it didn't take out a whole morning/ afternoon which if you on a long weekend city break was perfect.

Would highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to learn more about the food culture in Lisbon, while getting to try the local delicacies. Marta was our guide and she did a brilliant job of taking us through the city and explaining the history behind the food we were tasting. It was also a great experience for meeting new people.

Had a lovely experience of Lisbons local delicacies. Daniel our guide was excellent and not only gave us lots of historical information of the city and had a good knowledge of the foods but was able to answer any questions we threw at him.
As for the tour, I would be tempted to spread it out a little as most of the cafes/shops were close to each other so we had no sooner ate a cod fish cake, then a pork bap followed quickly by cheese and jam and cherry brandy, etc. A little space between courses would have been better. Overall a good experience

Luis is a very knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. He brings a deep knowledge of local culture and history to the tour as well. At the same time, he brings the local foods, alive with fun and interesting stories.
We were able to enjoy the tour, make new friends and discover restaurants that we went to in the days following the tour. We couldn’t recommend this tour any more highly. If you can get Luis, you will enjoy the experience, for sure!

A fantastic evening spent with Margarida, our charismatic host with impeccable knowledge of Portuguese gastronomy and a local knowledge of the best eateries. She was able to point us towards places to try during the rest of our trip and was keen to make sure that we avoided the tourist traps. I would recommend this tour to anybody who enjoys learning about a city’s history through food, and as the tour happens in a relatively small footprint in the centre of the city it isn’t too taxing after a long day of exploring.

A very enjoyable 3 hour tour with five stops to taste a range of Portuguese food and national drinks. We did this tour shortly after arriving in Lisbon and it provided a good introduction to the city and what it has to offer food and drink wise. We were lucky to be part of a very friendly and sociable group on this tour which made it all the more enjoyable. Our host Sophia was excellent. In addition to providing the history of the various dishes we tries she also went to great lengths to ensue all participants felt included and welcome.

An excellent introduction to the food & wine culture in Lisbon, organized as a private tour in a small group setting. This was a delicious and comprehensive tasting tour that actually in a matter of hours covered a very small walking area. We were constantly stopping, learning & tasting, all in spots frequented by locals & full of long history. Our guide Ricardo was most enthusiastic and full of knowledge that expanded beyond tastings to the rich history of the city and the country. When finished we were more than stuffed with excellent goodies. Serving portions were most generous. Thanks again Ricardo from the 8 Canadians.

Our host Sofia was fantastic for the whole experience. She was attentive and knew her god history well. The 5 stops all provided something different and the bifada and cod bites were very good. All drinks were good so and when you are in a crowd it is good to get to meet people from another country.
I would definitely recommend

Excellent experience, which our guide Filipe created by sharing a plethora of knowledge on food, Portuguese and local history as well as offering super recommendations for our stay in Lisbon. We received really useful advice on places to eat and sites to visit, which all worked out seamlessly for us and we felt we gained much more from our whole trip, not just a better insight into the food, drink and culture of this great city. Thank you Filipe!

Hi we are coming to Lisbon in July. I’d love to do this tour but I have what may be an odd question. I’ll be with my daughter who is 13 who loves Portuguese food but I assume won’t be served wine. Am I able to drink hers?

Yes, you can have hers. But you might find that you have plenty to drink without hers.

I have back problems and issues with strength in my legs and arms. Are there hills and steps involved?

On this particular tour, there were no hills or steps. We mainly stayed in the Rossio plaza area and nearby streets.

Why no tour on August 22 🤷🏼♀️?
Hi, we would like to reserve the tour for August 6th for seven people for the birthday of one of our friends. Unfortunately, we can’t pay it online because of we don’t have the electronical thing with us that allows us to pay online. So we were wondering if we could pay you there on the spot by card or cash. We would really like to do the tour. Thanks in advance.

When we tried to register for that one for 8 people I could not get it to work.
I even called Get Your Guide.
Finally I tried a different card but used my phone rather than my computer - cell online banking.
It worked like a charm.
Good luck

Hello. My husband and I have additional Covid-19 safety questions: (1) will the food tastings be conducted indoors or outdoors (we would prefer outdoors) (2) what is the spacing of the groups of people? Thank you in advance for your responses.

I agree with James -- some indoors, some out. Our group tended to wear masks when not eating, but it was definitely convivial. Something else to keep in mind is that there are frequent testing requirements -- for example, you have to show proof of vaccination or a negative test (taken immediately before) in order to eat in a restaurant on a weekend, and many hotels make you test on the spot when you check in.
