Terrific Town

As great as Lisbon is, our guide Joana REALLY brought it to life, with humor, genuine warmth, and fabulous style. We’d enjoy a tour of any city with her as our guide!

Joanna really helped bring context and depth to our enjoyment of the food, and our visit to Portugal in general. She insightfully answered many questions and tour was one of my favorite experiences.

Lots of fun, plenty of food!
Oct 2021
My wife and I took this tour in October 2021. The target group size is 12 people, we had 10 the day of our tour. There are 5 stops, three tavernas, Alfama community center, and a grocery store. All the stops are authentically "local" and they do support exclusively local-owned businesses. We had 5 drinks (3x wine, beer, ginginja), cheese, meat, cod-cakes, chorizo, and a bifana sandwich. We estimated the value of the food and drinks at about $25, or half of the tour price (which seemed reasonable). The route through Biaxa and Alfama was familiar from our walking tour earlier in the trip, but the stops were legitimately not ones we would have done ourselves. The Alfama Community Center in particular was fun. I would NOT plan a big dinner reservation the same day! We were plenty stuffed after the tour and only needed a gelato the rest of the night.

Our guide, Joana, did a great job. She clearly had experience getting a small/med sized group to interact and have fun. On our tour, we had USA, Ireland, France, and England represented.

Quaint and fun
Ricardo brought out the adventure and interest in each of us as we roamed Lisbon. I learned more history about this beautiful city and a lot of what it originates in food and wine. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great tour!!

Great way to experience Portuguese food with someone who is knowledgable about the culture. We walked around a few neighborhoods in Lisbon each with its own character. If you are looking to see the city, eat/drink some good food, and have a guide to show you around, look no further! Great way to spend a night in the city.
