Exploring Lisbon with a local is the best way to gain an insider’s perspective of Portugal’s cosmopolitan capital: on this private 3-hour walking tour, you’ll see highlights and hidden corners with a knowledgeable guide and a group of up to eight people. Over only one day, you’ll be able to customize your itinerary, receive personalized attention, visit Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara, and taste Portuguese delicacies. Food and liquor samples are included.

What to Expect

Your tour begins at the telescope on Rua São Pedro de Alcântara, located in Barrio Alto. Discuss your itinerary with your guide, informing them of any sites you wish to see, and then embark on your customizable private tour.

First, stroll to the Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara to drink in panoramic city views: St George’s Castle (Castello de São Jorge) and the Tagus River are both visible from this elevated viewpoint.

As you wander, your guide provides historical information that details the city’s radical transformation and prosperous past. See, too, the ruins of Carmo Convent (Igreja do Carmo) and discover the mysteries surrounding the San Roque chapel.

After working up an appetite, you’ll stop for a traditional Portuguese snack of cheese and chorizo accompanied with red or white wine, and then sample Ginjinha in one of Lisbon’s oldest bars. Along the way, your guide provides information that reveals a local side to the city, thereby enhancing your experience of Lisbon.

Bid your guide farewell at a central Lisbon location.

Walking tour

Bruno was great guide. He really showed hidden treasures of Lisbone, we would definitely miss great sights without him. He is knowledgeable and well spoken. We would highly recommend to take a tour with him. We did not noticed 3 hours of time. Thanks Bruno!

Hi, yes it is perfect because it is not a fixed tour. The guide considers individual wishes of the tour members. Distance and the route are adapted.

The price did not change when we booked, maybe you are booking with a third party? We always book direct with Withlocals and have never had any problems and always been 100% satisfied.
