This is an amazing tour! Van Go Tourism is an incredible company to work with. They are flexible and accommodating and created a magical day for my family of 15 in Sintra! Our tour guide, Susana, was both extremely knowledgeable and so much fun to hang out with! The company was accommodating to the various needs of our group and ages. We had such a wonderful experience, we immediately contacted the company again to schedule another tour. I could not recommend enough!!

I’m still dreaming of this trip! I had such a magical time in Lisbon and it’s all thanks to Susana and Van Go. There are so many reasons why I’d recommend them and the biggest one has to be our guide, Susana. She is a genuine and kind person who has a wealth of knowledge about all things Portuguese. She really takes into account the things that matter to you most in order to really maximize your experience. If you happen to mention something in passing, she’ll remember it and sprinkle it in somewhere. That’s just the Van Go experience! We went on a private tour that highlighted the must see and do list in Portugal. The van is squeaky clean. The views were spectacular. The recommended restaurants were definitely something to write home about. The people we met along the way were so kind. Everything just felt so surreal. You can tell that the tours are thoughtfully curated. I’m so happy we got to experience Portugal this way because there is so much we would have missed if we decided to explore on our own. In fact, I plan to return to do it again!

Joao took us on a private tour of Sintra in December 2024. He was waiting at our hotel right on time. He accommodated our pace, was very pleasant, and knowledgeable about all the sites. He even answered all of our off-the-wall questions! Joao made for a very enjoyable day and a memorable trip to Sintra. Would definitely recommend!

This tour was the best of all of the tours we took on our 30 day vacation. We booked a completely custom tour and everything was amazing. They picked us up at the cruise terminal where we went to the hotel to drop off our luggage. We had a total of 13 people (2 vans) with A LOT of luggage. We then headed up Belem for pastries. Susana worked with the restaurant to get us tables together and expedited our service so we wouldn't be late for our appointment. Along the way we received useful and interesting information from both Susana and Simone. They prepurchased the tickets for the Castle and the shuttle bus and gave us a private tour with headsets of the Castle. After we went to Sintra for lunch where Susana had called ahead and arranged a table for all of us. The meal was the best we had in Portugal. And we were treated to the the famous Sintra pastries - Travesseiros. We then drove through the National park to Cascais where we explored the beautiful town. They dropped us back at the hotel. Thank you, Susana and Simone for a perfect day.

From the moment we were picked up in their new spacious vans at our cruise ship with MANY big bags (13 of us), we knew we were in the right hands! Suzanne and her colleague provided such a thorough tour…from Belém for pasteis de nada to Sintra, Cascais and back…including a delicious lunch in the quaint town of Sintra. What a delightful full day tour. So much knowledge of the sites and presented in an engaging manner. Never rushed for time, she managed to fit it all in with her wonderful charm and personality. Would definitely book with Van Go Tourism again!!

Our tour guide, Miguel, and the driver, Rui, picked up our group at 0800 hrs from our hotel. Everything about the day in Sintra was well planned out by Van Go Tours, from the nice comfortable transportation, the restaurant where our group ate, to the tickets for all the venues. Our guide, Miguel, was caring, knowledgeable, funny, and kind. Our driver, Rui, had a great personality as well as being a safe driver. We were so glad we arrived at the Pena Palace early because by the time we left, the lines had begun. Miguel was super at pointing out facts about the palace we wouldn't have seen or even known to look at without his knowledge. We also loved climbing the walls of the Moorish castle and learning the history of the area. Miguel was great with those who preferred not to climb the steps and kept them company while the rest of the group sought the views. After a busy morning, we were able to relax at Taverna dos Trovadores where we had delicious pre-ordered meals and an efficient and friendly waiting staff. We were not rushed so our group really enjoyed this aspect of the tour. We could converse, refresh, and get renergized for the afternoon. After lunch, Miguel took us to the quaint area of Sintra and then on to Quinta da Regaleira where we strolled the beautiful grounds and walked through the palace. Again, without Miguel's guidance, we wouldn't have known or noticed the intricacies of the grounds and/or its history. Everyone in the group agreed Miguel, Rui, and Van Go Tours did an excellent job and we were so glad we booked with them.

Our guide, Joo was super! Very knowledgeable, friendly and he made the all day private Sintra tour memorable and fun! He easily adapted to accommodate one in our party who has mobility issues without overly straining him and without lessening the experience for the rest of us. I cannot recommend him more highly … definitely worth the extra cost to have all the tickets covered and to go with someone who knows shortcuts to reduce waiting time at popular attractions. Guaranteed positive and fun experience, you won’t regret it!

Five of us booked three days of private tours with Van Go and were totally pleased with the whole experience. Margarida helped us book the tours and was really responsive to all our questions. She created a custom plan for us. Joao, our fantastic guide for all three days, was knowledgeable, helpful, and fun! The vehicles were spotlessly clean and brand new. We did a day tour of Lisbon, day trip to Sintra with an evening in Cascais, and then Lisbon to Porto transport via Obidos and Nazare. Joao was with us the whole time and even helped get one couples' passports which were accidentally left behind in our hotel Lisbon. You'll have an excellent trip with Van Go.

Words can't fully describe how wonderful the tour to Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais was. We did several tours on our Portugal vacation, but our tour guide, Miguel Alves, made this tour stand out from the rest. The sites we toured were breathtaking, but Miguel's detailed knowledge of each site was mind-boggling. Miguel studied history, and his passion and pride for Portugal were evident. He showed us the tiniest of details that we know other tour groups didn't even notice. He kept us out longer than scheduled, for which we were very grateful. We will tell EVERY person we know to connect with Miguel when they travel. When we return, we'd love to do another Porto and Douro tour, but with Miguel. Thank you!

Vango tour was recommended by a friend and we had a great experience. Susana was our tour guide and she picked us up right outside our accommodation with comfortable 7 seater. Susana is a great navigator with plenty of history and stories of Lisbon and Sintra. She also knows all the short cuts and knows the best places for good photos. Would say that Sintra is quite difficult for people with hip or knee issues as there is a lot of uphill and downhill. However Susana accommodated this and was always happy to give food and sightseeing recommendations for more than just Sintra.
