Begin with a pickup from your Malta hotel (selected hotels only), and then set off by climate-controlled coach to explore the scenic archipelago.
Travel first to the fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital. Explore the narrow streets and imposing bastions that offer panoramic views of the island. Learn about the area's architecture from your guide, including Siculo-Norman palaces.
Leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate, stop at the early Christian catacombs in Rabat before heading to the Dingli Cliffs, where you can enjoy excellent views along the coast.
Break for lunch at a traditional Maltese restaurant for a 3-course meal with a glass of wine. Eat and chat with your guide, and then travel to the San Anton Botanical Gardens for an exterior visit, located near the Presidential Palace.
Next, make for Ta Qali Crafts Village, a hamlet constructed on the site of a World War II airbase. See the Nissen huts that were once used as air-raid shelters, and head inside three of the shops and studios to see the craftspeople at work.
Finish your tour with a stop in the small town of Mosta, where you’ll visit Mosta Church, whose dome is said to be one of the largest in the world. Your tour will conclude afterward with drop-off back at your selected hotel.
