What to expect
Make your own way to Doolin Pier in time for a 10am departure and use your prepaid ferry tickets to head straight aboard. Set sail on the around 1-hour and 15-minute journey to Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands, and enjoy spectacular views of Galway Bay and the Cliffs of Moher as you cruise out across the Atlantic. On arrival in Kilronan Harbour, you’ll have the entire day to explore the island at your own pace. Perhaps hire a bike, join a mini-bus tour, or ride a pony trap (own expense) around the island, and take in sights such as Dún Aonghasa (Dun Aengus), the Aran Heritage Centre, Dún Duchathair (The Black Fort), Na Seacht dTeampaill (The Seven Churches), Teaghlach Einne (House of St. Enda), and Clochan na Carraige. You could also shop for the islands’ famous Aran Sweaters at the Aran Sweater Market in Kilronan, spot wildlife such as seals and sea birds along the coastal cliffs, and tuck into a typical Irish lunch (own expense) at one of the harbor’s many pubs, restaurants and cafés. Make your way back to Kilronan Harbour in time for the return ferry at 4pm sharp. Your tour ends back at Doolin Pier around 5.30pm. Please note: Ferries run daily from March to October. Packed, no space but fast
We took the ferry to inis mor and on the way back we done the cliffs of moher tour.

The boat was packed, no seats left and everyone sitting ontop of each other inside and outside, it didn't feel safe for covid as there was just no space and so many children running around the boat with no masks on. All adults wore a mask.

The boat itself is brilliant and the journey was fast, loved seeing the cliffs from the sea, stunning! The crew are very friendly.

Great Experience
Jun 2021
We were unsure which of the Aran Islands we wanted to visit. Joan in the booking office was so professional and helpful and provided us with such an insight into all the islands and what they have to offer. Doolin Ferry Company have a new boat which is an express ferry crossing and the crew were so professional. The crossing is extremely comfortable and quick. We combined our trip with a Cliff Cruise upon our return and would highly recommend this full day excursion. My only complaint was that we didn't have time to stay overnight on the island!

Among awaited trip
Sep 2019
Inish mor was a day trip that should have been an overnight trip really. This particular Ferry Company stays the shortest amount of time. It was not enough to what I wanted at a leisurely jaunt. I did cycle around but didn’t have time to eat and do much else without worrying I wouldn’t be back in time for the returning ferry.

Great trip
Sep 2019
We were staying in Doolin because we wanted to do a trip to Inis Mor; the boat company were great offering us a combined ticket to the Island and a separate trip to view the Cliffs of Moher for a very reasonable price. We took our bikes to the island and the boatmen were very helpful in putting them on and off the boat.
Inis Mor was wonderful - highly recommend taking a bike or hiring one and doing the full length of the island.

We traveled over to Inishmore on the Galway Girl. Coming back, the weather was so bad that Doolin had to bring us to Inis Oirr first but by god they got us back to Doolin on the day they said they were going to. Brave crew. Decent staff. Thumbs up!

Just awful

Ferries were always late. Didn't send a ferry to pick us up from Inis mor and didn't notify anyone. Unprofessional behavior from employees outside of their office. I think one was throwing rocks at cars.

What a fantastic journey we had on the boat to and from the Aran Islands. It was on time, reliable and staff were fantastic. Comfortable journey and the information about the cliff of moher was brilliant, informative and entertaining. Such praise for the Bill o Brien company and already talking about bringing my family the next time.
Many thanks keep up the good work as your happy customers are a reflection of this commitment. Look for the red jackets when you arrive.

cold day - bad trip to Inis Mor
Jul 2019 • Family
We chose a rainy, windy day for our journey, but the ferry to Inis Mor was tiny and all the doors were open. Myself and my son got drenched from the rain and weren't able to shelter so arrived on Inis Mor soaked through and frozen. The return journey was on a bigger boat with lots more seats so that was much better.

We travelled in June and had beautiful weather, so the trip was really nice. Staff at the ticket building and on the boat were friendly and helpful. Price of the trip was also fine. Would take again!
