Overview
Get started bright and early to conquer both Kata Tjuta and the Valley of the Winds in just a half day. Eat a light breakfast while watching the sun come up over the domes of Kata Tjuta as your guide explains their geological and spiritual significance. Take a walk through the Valley of the Winds to get panoramic views from central lookout points, with options for more or less challenging hikes. What to Expect
Spend your morning in a magical way: watching the sunrise and hiking in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The day starts with an early morning pickup at your Ayers Rock Resort accommodation. Board the comfortable, wifi-equipped coach and enjoy the ride.  Arrive at Kata Tjuta in time to eat a light breakfast while you watch the sun rise over the rocky landscape. Make sure your camera is charged so you can capture the stunning views. Learn out their geological origins and the reasons they are sacred to the Anangu people. From there, start out on a guided walk through the Valley of the Winds, stopping at the Karu viewpoint. If you are looking for a challenge, continue on to the Karingana lookout for panoramic views. Alternatively, set out for a more leisurely hike through the domed rocks. Your guide is happy to ask any questions about this ancient and sacred area.  Return to your accommodations by midday, which leaves the afternoon free for other activities.

  • Operates in all weather conditions, and the Australian desert can be quite cool in the early morning. Please dress appropriately
  • A considerable amount of walking is involved, please ensure appropriate footwear is warn
  • You will be required to bring your own water bottles, which altogether are able to hold a minimum capacity of 2 litres per person (these can be filled with water on board the coach).
  • National Park Pass is free of charge to December 31 2020 and $25 per person thereafter
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Travellers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travellers
