Overview
Discover the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park on a catamaran cruise to Green Island, a coral cay surrounded by spectacular reefs and marine life. Choose between snorkeling, a glass-bottom boat tour, or a trip beneath the surface in a semi-submersible. Or visit Green Island Resort to enjoy a spot on the sandy beach, with the option to add hotel transfers and a buffet lunch.
What to Expect

Enjoy convenient pickup from your hotel or travel to the Reef Fleet Terminal on your own. Then board a catamaran bound for Green Island and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Upon arrival at Green Island, you’ll have the day to explore and relax, choosing from a wide variety of activities offered by Green Island Resort. When booking, choose between a snorkeling trip to the coral reef, a glass-bottom boat tour, and a trip in a semi-submersible that gets you below the surface without getting wet. The resort’s facilities are available for your use, and you can rent beach loungers, canoes, sailboards, shade umbrellas, and more. If you’ve selected the lunch option when booking, return to the catamaran for a fresh buffet, or just purchase a meal on the island.

After roughly 4.5 hours of island time, the tour concludes with the return trip to Cairns or hotel transfer (if option selected).

Not enough seats

Island fantastic, Boat trip out and back ordinary. Some staff bordering on rude. Not enough seats, was raining on way back so couldn’t use roof. Had to hovel in a doorway with 3 tired kids.

Industrial scale tourism....avoid!

Reading the marketing information this trip seemed to offer a pleasant mix of coral reef 'exploration' and an opportunity for beach relaxation and swimming. We thought it would suit us, a couple in our sixties. We had not been prepared to be crammed on board...More

Well organized boat company with great staff, Beautiful resort island, but one caveat

We knew that this island for some unknown reason is some kind of Mecca for Chinese, maybe a more accessible way to say you have been to the Great Barrier Reef (sort of) So since probably 75% of the people who were there when we...More

I would book with another vessel

I was so disappointed in this trip. It was not catered for Caucasians, the announcements were in Mandarin, the food had an Asian influence. I felt sorry for the staff who worked tirelessly all day and did a wonderful job.More

Hi Gerrie, We really appreciate your 4 stars and kind remarks about our staff. The announcements you mention, I can assure you these are all made in English first unless it's for a dedicated Chinese Glass Bottom boat tour. Thanks and regards, Chris Koscielny Sales...More
