Yarra Valley Active Adventure with Hike Bike and Wineries

This day tour of the Yarra Valley offers a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Hike 1,000 steps and bike your way through the Valley before stopping to enjoy a delicious lunch. End by touring Yarra Valley wineries and sampling delicious local wines. This tour can be tailored to suit any fitness level.

What to Expect

Meeting point: Yarra Valley tours meet outside St. Paul’s Cathedral, which is located on the corner of Swanston & Flinders Streets, Melbourne (opposite Federation Square and Flinders Street Train Station)

Times: 7am-4:30pm(ish)

Activities: hiking, biking, and wine tasting

Fitness level: We cater to all fitness levels. If you're a fitness newbie, or if you don't get much time to work-out, we'll inspire you. If you're a fitness nut, we'll challenge you.

Inclusions: bike and safety equipment, transportation from Melbourne, a friendly and knowledgeable adventure tour guide, lunch, and fond and fuzzy memories

What to bring: active wear and shoes you’ll be comfortable adventure trekking/biking in, warmer/cooler clothes to change into just in case, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, snacks, water, and extra money for purchasing a bottle or two of the local tipple

Itinerary 1 - Time to step up

Begin with pickup from Melbourne city and then hit the road for the 1000 steps, which is one of the top things to do in Melbourne if fitness is your forte. Don’t count them, just conquer them. If you do it fast enough, the record could be yours. While in the area you’ll receive a rundown of its unique history as the operator likes to keep you mentally fit too.

Itinerary 2 - On your bike

Prepare to hit the highest highs as well as the lowest lows, geographically speaking of course, as you travel from the mountains to the valley. Here you'll pick up your bikes for a ride along the purpose built bike trail. Take it from the tour operator, your eyes will be working just as hard as your legs to take in the stunning area.

Itinerary 3 - Putting the ahhh in afternoon

With the hard yards done and dusted, it’s time to treat yourself and when you’re surrounded by some of the best food, wine, and scenery in Victoria, it’s not like you need an excuse to indulge. Let your guide know if there are any particular Yarra Valley wineries you’d like to explore and they’ll do what they can to get you there.
